I think McGregor needs a bit more help beside him. Bernardo is probably seen by BR as a deeper lying player so he could slot in for a 4-2-3-1 formation. Maeda isn't a long term option up front. Backline is absolutely fine. Hatate has to play as a 10 or not at all..

    Schmeichel

    Ralston
    CCV
    Scales
    Tierney

    McGregor
    Bernardo

    Hatate

    Maeda
    Iheanacho
    Tounekti

When Johnston and Jota both return then hopefully they both slot in on the right. And we sign a top forward in January.

If Iheanacho does well we won’t sign any strikers in January.

January is a hard window to sign strikers so can be forgiven.

I would doubt that. We will sell Maeda. Osmond and Yamada isn’t fancied be Brendan and Kenny is also *.
We will definitely have to bring in a new first team striker

What, there's an important window in Jan?
That will be the 5th in a row then - don't hold your breath!

It feels like the next window is always the most important one when you support Celtic.

It is the hope that kills

That's as far as I got as it becomes pretty much impossible from there. We have no 'best 8 partnership' at the moment. Nygren and Hatate are too inconsistent, Engels and Bernardo could be but one's confidence is shot and the other isn't getting enough minutes. McCowan has done well recently but don't think of him as a first choice.

Also RW affects it. Nygren could very well be the one due to lack of options but don't think it will happen. Daizens would be shoe in for centre forward if his form wasn't so poor, due to Iheanacho still getting up to speed.

So basically, we don't have a best 11 at the minute. We're at the point of needing to try something different to suit the options we have, which we know the manager won't do.

So bottom line...we trundle on hoping for the best, and switching players in and out of positions till we can rectify the situation in Jsnuary. * * show.

Imagine everyone was fit right now.

    Schmiechel

    Johnstone
    CCV
    Scales
    Sarrachi

    Engels
    McGregor
    Nygren

    Jota
    Iheanacho
    Tounekti

Leaves a bench with KT, Maeda, Trusty, Hatate and so on too. That’s a decent squad but in reality it’s probably never gonna happen.

Jota and Tounekti either side would immediately raise the danger levels for the opposition, Nygren ghosting into the box late, Iheanacho linking and making runs for those early Johnston/Saracchi crosses.

    * that they're out long term. The Jota one was a real sickener at the time and still is.

For the semi; as above for the back 5 and midfield but i am tempted to move Maeda to the left and Tounekti right purely because of the psychology of Maeda on Tav. Wether he starts is another thing.
