Stats from last night, much improved 2nd half. A clinical striker and we'd be banging in 4 or 5 of them chances at least I'd reckon.

I kept my mouth shut with all the Scales haters recently. Lets just say that karmas a * and Scales is a decent player.

You can tell the haters still hate. They'll declare how great he did. Then finish with "need better"

We could spend £15m and not get better.

That's the key here. People tend to forget the benefit of a player who is established and i'm sure from the inside its clearer to see how a player like him establishes themselves into the team. It's a fair balance of being realistic vs ambitious and it leaves me with mixed feelings.
Anyway that was a great result and i'm really happy to be swayed and now join the positive bandwagon because i've been really grumpy about Celtic recently. Especially after going down to a wondergoal it was good to see we had the required attitude to finish with a result. This is a good opportunity to lift the mood and improve things going forward.

Pump the diets and were going into the semi finally full of confidence. This could be the turning point.

We are playing the Hun who are toiling more than us. Biggest concern is our form against them, but of the 3 games, including last night, it's the easiest. Should be no excuses for that one.

Considering how poor we've been so far this season and how well Sturm are doing in their league I was just hoping to not do worse than the Huns. We really need to be building points at home.

I wonder what kind of odds you'd get for the Huns losing all 8?

Extremely delighted with the victory. Not delighted with the injuries.

They’ve got some easy games against the likes of Ferencvaros and Ludogorets coming up so you’d imagine they’ll pick up something there?!
It would make it all the funnier though if they don’t! :56:

Just about have recovered from Glasgow. Was a great time as always. Talked to Celtic fans from Peterborough, Dublin, Louth although he was a Man Utd fan really. Seen a French CSC in Gracie’s after the match and had a good conversation with the bouncer about the Battle of Hastings. Unfortunately another Celtic fan hit my friend, always an experience.

I don't think people hate him just because they want better. I'm delighted we have Scales and he's been clear POTY. But that's because how poor we've been in general.

That's not to take away the times when we've desperately needed someone at the back and he's stepped up. He'll need to do the same again massively in the next couple of months.

You could spend £20m or £30m and not get better than him.

... Good scouting would mean we should be able to replace him though. £10m should easily replace him but as with other areas of the pitch, we can't sign players of quality at the moment for multiple reasons.

He reminds me of Taylor tbh. We should be aiming for higher. We've said for season after season that he needed replaced in the squad but failed to do so. It's partly because he stepped up but a huge part of that is because we failed to recruit properly.

We should be in a position where Scales should be being replaced if we want to be the best version of Celtic that we can possibly be.

Instead, we've allowed other areas to completely rot in front of our eyes - right wing, strikers etc.

It's poor management across the board.

Finally back in Austria, I had the time of my life, despite the defeat of Sturm. At the same time, I was glad for Celtic. Yesterdays result was a big step back, unfortunately.
