Yeah I can imagine Kennedy indicated he’s ready to try something new over the summer if an opportunity came up so they’ve brought Maloney to be the new Kennedy.

He left because he got offered the spurs job. A chance to manage in England, make a lot of money and win a European trophy.

I don't think this will last long either, because I think it will be an absolute **** show. If Brendan Rodgers can't get a tune out of the currently available players, then what chance do O'Neill and Maloney have?

I'm looking at the fixtures here and I think the coming weeks are going to be Covid season bad. Of course, O'Neill and Maloney will have enough to beat Falkirk; but the next two games against Rangers and Midtjylland are going to be painful. After that, the two of them might scrape a win against Kilmarnock at home... maybe... but St Mirren away will be tough, then Feyenoord are going to batter us and I think Hibs away is a game we will probably lose. After that, there's a relatively easy midweek game at home to Dundee to get our hopes up before Hearts bring us crashing back down to earth on the Sunday and then a trip to Rome. At that point, surely their position becomes untenable.

Didn't help that he was told he was getting pennies to improve the squad

Covid season bad? You no looked at the stats? Weve passed that already. Rodgers is pish. Chucked it. A * traffic cone will get more out the team.

Im actually amazed somethings happened so early so we've still a chance to rescue something.

He’d have us purring domestically but we’d be worse in Europe than under Rodgers.

I’d rather look for someone else as at this rate, Ronnie Deila must be due his second stint :giggle1:

I think his European record is getting bashed too much.

He changed tactics with Spurs and won the Europa League. If he came back, I think he would do the same with us.

How do you reckon? I can't decide whether or not he would. On the one hand he strikes me as someone who doesn't want to be out a job for too long, said his family loved it here and he'll have plenty happy memories managing Celtic.

On the other hand he will know first hand how * the board is and yesterday's developments probably won't fill him with confidence

He's sitting on £8m of gardening leave.

I just don't think the timing is right. He strikes me as someone who doesn't look back the way so I think some more creativity and imagination needs to be shown here. Knowing our board that's near impossible but still.

What would his motivation be for coming back as well? We already seen with Lennon and Rodgers how quickly the 2nd spell can turn. I'm not convinced.

Someone like McKenna at least is young, fresh and has something to prove here. Should he come.

Ange turned out to be the right manager at the right time for us before but he walked away at the first opportunity and hasn’t exactly been a major success in the EPL.
Let’s look forward, not back, and try to get some new ideas in.

He did say that as well when he went to Spurs, that he doesn’t go back to ex teams similar to like going back to an ex or something along those lines.

The only way you bring Postecoglou back is if you’re willing to back him heavily in the market like when he first joined. That’s a big if given our level of recruitment since his first season.

He needs certain types of players to properly implement Angeball and it’s fairly clear that a large portion of the current squad just don’t cut the mustard.

I think he’ll be back one day but now is too soon for both parties.
