The board/Desmond dumping all this on Brendan is a fukn joke just like they are jokes!

Get some professional people in to run the club operations properly, we're not wanting or asking you to spend all the money, just run us properly, and stop giving jobs for the boys, give jobs to good professional qualified people

Point taken about Rodgers and Kairat, but you’ve got to ‘speculate to accumulate’ and we have continuously failed to do that. Even if the players we’d lost had been adequately replaced without adding any extra depth to the squad that would’ve been something, but the board weren’t arsed to do even that much. The signing of a free-agent striker after the deadline just says it all tbh. Criminally negligent.

Was the statement embarrassing? Yes.

But i do think that Rodgers have been doing us dirty for months. I think there is quite a bit of truth in the statement.

What i don't like with it is when he/they use it to try and stop the protests. Which was fully expected.

 

Happy he decided to quit this obviously toxic job. His heart was no longer in it. Now, it's time to hound out those who made it toxic.

 

Desmond blaming Rodger’s for the boards failings and subsequent abuse is * shameful.

 

Thanks for your service Brendan. You have overseen some incredible periods of Celtic success over your two periods as manager and should be remembered for doing so.
I think he leaves with his head held high and the blowback from the likes of DD suggests that he wasn't prepared to go along with the jobs for the lads mantra that now surrounds the club. He was offered a new contract, could have taken another big payday, but its clear as day to all right-minded people that the current top brass are incapable of taking the club where it should be. I think BR knew that for a while and it has contributed to him and the team not delivering on the pitch. I think on reflection he should have left after the window closed but I can't blame him for trying to see out the season.
He realised he was no longer the best man to lead the club forward. The question is, given the current state at the top of the club, who is?
