We are * big time, left with a shower of projects due to the clubs incompetent transfer policy, time for a clear out from top to bottom.

Weve got trusty to cover. Scales is quality in CCV position if trusty cant handle that side. You dont buy a first choice CB in january thats clearly not going to be first choice by Feb when he returns.

Wingers and strikers, aye. Those are priority. CBs and midfield is still our strongest positions of depth. Concentrate on the others not a "first choice CB" for about 3 weeks after the window.

Tbh I've wanted a first choice partner for CCV since Starfelt left.

I know Scales has been good but I want better.

We have priorities needed in nearly ever position. What's adding one more going to do?

In the next two windows, we're to need a striker (or two), two right wingers, two central midfielders, a centre back, a left back and a keeper.

It's * diabolical that we're in this position where if all things were actually planned properly, we'd only be looking for another keeper, a central midfielder and a centre back in the summer. The rest should've been sorted over the last 24 months!

Thats because your a *. No matter how good scales is you want him replaced. Hes constantly injury free and the best performing CB we've had for 2 seasons now. CCV the injury prone one, thats cost more European games than scales should be the one being replaced. Stop living in the past.

    Hahahaha

I'm delighted we've had Scales. He's stepped in when we've needed him. Does that mean we shouldn't be aspiring for better?

CCV is the best centre back we've had since VVD. If it was the last man at the back facing a counter attack, who you choosing Scales or CCV?

CCV was. Thats the point your missing. Scales has performed better going on 2 seasons. Can you not see players develop? You could spend £20m and not get the consistency of performances scales has put out. Laugh all you will. Hes the best CB we've got.

Totally agree on Scales there has to be a pathway for development players to join and break in to the 1st team. We have to have players from the Scottish and Irish leagues and lower English leagues see players join us, improve their game, play in European competition and then get capped by their country.

Losing CCV for such a large chunk of the season is undoubtedly a big blow. He hasn't quite been at his absolute best for a while in truth, but the man is undoubtedly quality and it leaves big shoes to fill.

Because he's shown he can adapt to everything thrown at his so far. Would I want him there? No, im not one to move your best players position to accommodate another but if needs must, then he'd do grand.

I'm absolutely dreading the prospect of us having to play without him for the next whatever number of months

I agree we will miss him but we have done this most, perhaps every, seasons he's been here.

Should never have played through his injury Anges last season.

So you actually have no idea? He’s not adapted to anything, he’s found his position as a LCB because he’s not a LB.

When CCV has been injured, Kobayashi, Phillips, Welsh, Lagerbielke and Nawrocki all played RCB. Just leave Scales at LCB, Trusty had a couple of excellent performances on the right in Europe.

Neither is ideal but at least there’s proof Trusty can play there, Scales never has.

Feels like we always lose him for large chunks of the season. Think we need someone more reliable and keep CCV as back up to be used sparingly. We can afford it

From the CL games he played there last season with Trusty on the left.
