That's a relief. Can't see us losing that.

Totally agree that if we had to appoint a caretaker it would have to be MON as he is the type of manager who could salvage the season by chopping and changing things up a bit, realistically though the Board would put Maloney and Kennedy in place and hope that they would both do well enough to give them the job permanently as it would be a cheaper option but they know that the supporters will not tolerate that, if they did put them in charge permanently it would just be to * off the supporters even more.

The day Steve Clarke becomes Celtic manager is the day I’m done with the club.

Not even remotely good enough and the football would bore you to death.

Nobody wants him as Scotland manager ffs.

I know it's not the same people, but it's still hilarious.

Agreed. He ruined a half-decent Ireland squad who went to the Euros in 2016. The football was mostly dreadful and got worse as he went further into his tenure, not to mention that he fell out with everyone and their mother by the end of the debacle. He’s completely unable to take any criticism whatsoever and is a football dinosaur at this stage.

For those mentioning MON, Urs Fischer is available. Won a few titles at Basel and built a really impressive Union Berlin side taking them from Bundesliga 2 fodder to UCL in 4 or 5 seasons. Built a proper physically strong side with them playing a 352 just like MON did. Frankly I'm at the point were id take anyone who doesn't play the 433 horseshoe ball.

Seems strange he's been out of the game for about 2 years.

His football is dire as well, though :giggle1:

He's known to be a defensive playing coach and was the reason why Basel didn't give him a contract extension. They were worse off without him tough and lost their league supremacy afterwards :giggle1:

He did very well at Union but you cannot compare their situation with us. We are expected to win and I think people could turn on him if we play too defensive. So, I'm not really sure if he would be a good fit. Maybe until the end of the season it would work but not sure for any longer.

It's October. There's absolutely no chance we can get away with appointing a caretaker 3 months into the season.

Timing could work in our favour with Norwegian and dare I say Chinese leagues due to finish end of next month and Ange back out of work too.

Appointing a caretaker is like saying they are writing the season off
