This is the key for me. Rodgers and the team are under performing no question but the vast majority IMHO of the blame for the hole we are in rests with Desmond, Lawwell, Nicholson and McKay. Until we get movement there and they are replaced getting in a new manager doesn't change the fundamental problem which is with our boardroom/ownership.

Why exactly would Osmand be making the bench though? He's a 20 year old who should probably be on loan at a Scottish Championship club and can't even get in the Wales u21 squad. Pusey is a loan signing so I don't think we should be playing players to develop them for other clubs. Our defence was the least of our worries up until the last 3 games so he might now get his chance.

The issue is the lack of quality we have signed from. The 4 mentioned are 2 run of the mill J League players and 2 EPL academy players who have a grand total of 2 first team appearances between them

Tilio and Kwon weren't good enough. It's probably likely with the two Japanese players also.

Absolutely no chance the board are giving a manger who's leaving in the summer any kind of money to spend.

So we better hope to * he's away before the end of the year

Whether they are good enough or not is debatable, but it still doesn't change the fact he doesn't play players that are brought in he didn't want.

Given the money we got back on Idah, the £9m was worth it. The price we pay for these players isn’t down to Rodgers though. Our board in their wisdom decide to wait until the dying embers of the window and get their pants pulled down with what we pay as teams know we are desperate.

The season Klopp left Liverpool they spent an absolute fortune. Then won the league last year under Slot.

Yeah I know that but we keep playing the same * players and again we don't score again the Japanese striker scored 19 goals in one season and at least should be given a few games to see if he can do a job but it looks like Rogers is having his personal battles with the board and saying it's a club signing he sits in the * stand we are a * shambles from the board down to the team

I don't think its debatable at all. Kwon couldn't even get a game at Hibs. Abildgard, Shaw, Urhoghide and McCarthy couldn't get much games under Ange. It will happen with any Celtic manager because our structures are chaotic.

I certainly agree Yamada should be getting chances going forward now but Rodgers does has his favourites.

    I know I did.

I'm drawing parallels to players that Rodgers never played becuase they weren't good enough.

I think it will be loan deals in the January transfer window and possibly Maeda sold. I don’t see us making the next phase of the Europa league. Rodgers will be gone in the summer at the latest and the board will not spend what is required to improve the team. It’s greed over ambition and Rodgers is not part of the future.

Kwon was very good at St.Mirren according to their fans, they loved him. 6'4' too, a big physical presence. It was tougher for him to break through at Hibs, because they had a plethora of good midfielders.

He's now cutting it at Nantes.

Lads, even as his biggest fan it's a sad state of affairs when yous are discussing Kwon in the January transfer window thread. In October no less :giggle1:
