Ange would get us playing better football again and set us up to not be afraid of going up against any opposition.

    Forget this...

Ange won't come back here and we won't sack Rodgers and pay him off

Our current manager also walked the first chance he got and Ange spent long enough here to know the boards' promises mean jack *,

When Rodgers goes we need something fresh.

Ange had his time. I want a new direction.

I would love him back, mainly cause of the style of football but secondly if it's not him it will be Maloney, Lennon or Broony....

    Agreed.

Ange much better than Rodgers but both of them lack tactical flexibility.

We need someone who can dominant domestically playing free flowing football but a manager who can be pragmatic in Europe.

Ange and Rodgers both failed to get the balance right consistently IMO

I don't think he's the same manager that left here. He's been eaten up and spat out by the EPL, the place he was desperate to get to. I don't think he'll have the same motivation and desire anymore. Never say never but I don't think it would be a good move to take him back.

He had his time yes and it was brilliant but he made his choice also and moved on as should we.
Assuming Rodgers leaves at the end of the season though we are in a dreadful position really because unless we get rid of Lawwell, Nicholson, McKay and Desmond we are going nowhere positive as long as they remain in place.

I think you can go ahead and assume at this point. More chance of Alex Rae winning the Nobel Prize in Physics and taking Taylor Swift as his date to the award ceremony than Rodgers staying now.

Are you imagining Jim Carey in a pudding-basin haircut when you say that by any chance? :56:

When Ange arrived first time around we were a steppin stone to the EPL, that wouldn't be an option for him anymore.

Ange is not the answer IMHO. The bottom line for me is regardless of what Rodgers is or is not doing with the team at the moment we are where we are mostly because of the board and Desmond. Until they are gone we are going nowhere good. As for Ange I absolutely loved him as our manager and the quality of football we played under him was a joy to watch for the most part but he made his decision to walk away so for me that ship has already sailed.

When Big Ange flies back from London to Melbourne he could watch every minute of his 8 games as Forest manager on his laptop and still have time left to take in the three Crocodile Dundee films before landing.
