And this nonsense of "we cant affect the team".. If the players dont understand where we the fans are coming from and cant preform because of it on their 20k odd a week, well honestly ....fuckem...

The time for talk is over. Get rid of the parasites.

The AGM will be the usual scripted waffle mate. You know that. The meeting the other week when they basically said how they are operating is perfect other than maybe needing to engage a bit more with us peasants tells you all you need to know. They have no clue how to take us forward and are finished. There can be no way back for this shower.

The issue is what will it serve, home games are sold out more or less so the financial impact is negligible and it is to the detriment of the team.

The only way the fans can possibly make the board sit up and take notice is to not renew their season tickets but we all know that won't happen as the demand is too big and some fans might never get one again.

There is the argument to be made of the symbolic nature of an empty stadium but I don't think this board care about that.

There's a fine line to be managed between self sabotage and exerting pressure on the board but unfortunately I feel this board are hard necked enough to sit anything out until their own personal safety is under threat.

Another problem speaking as an Irish traveling supporter, the club's have bought season tickets and need people to use them to help pay for the next year's book, don't know if that's the case with Scottish supporters clubs

I mean it's the same price for all the clubs who have released this collection not just exclusive to us

You're probably correct.. but there is a chance for other shareholders to voice concerns etc.. and if nothing is done and everyone re-elected etc.. we know where we stand.

I get the season ticket thing mate and I fully understand people not wanting to give them up but a full stadium boycott will definitely make sponsors and media take note... They will lose serious money from matcday revenue alone and the negative press will definitely hurt DD big fat ego...

Yeah mate I used to be in the same boat. Only way this works is if the support come together. I've said it from the start there has to be serious sacrifices made by our fans, short term pain for long term gain.. again easy for me to say as I only go to a handful of games nowadays... This club is going absolutely nowhere, backwards under this regime, we need rid by anyway possible

But you were complaining like it was the club who set the price which clearly isn't the case

Very much support this action myself as well. Personally speaking I had already decided that I would be boycotting buying any new Celtic kit or merchandise. I would guess since the Adidas deal started I probably spend about 500-750euro a year on kit and Celtic gear/merchandise. Think I dropped about 250euro when I was home over the summer. Obviously I don't go physically to games so this is largely the contribution I make as well as my Celtic TV subscription so all told probably spend about 1000euro a year on the club. I won't be spending another euro on Celtic until Lawwell, Nicholson and McKay are gone. I want Desmond gone as well but understand getting rid of him is much more difficult/complicated.
We need a refresh at Celtic with an ambitious board and ownership that clearly want to develop and push Celtic on both on and off the field and have the plans and ideas to do so that we can all get excited about and get behind. The response of the current board and ownership has shown in crystal clear fashion if there was any doubt that they are not only not fit for purpose but that they actually are actively and deliberately holding Celtic back and even engaging in deliberate sabotage of the club such as the backstabbing hit piece on Rodgers by Lawwell/another director which they could care less about. They must go and until they do not another euro will they get from me.
