Aye same here, I thought he was always portrayed as a bit of a Diva and an attention-seeker much like Cantwell but seems far from it. Really impressed with his attitude so far.

You ready to admit you were talking absolute * when you suggested he was 40 year old?

Maybe realises this is his proper last chance to make it at a high level. If he fails to make it at Celtic and leaves with a poor goal return and more question marks about his attitude, nobody of any real decent level is going to touch him.

29 years old too. Big, big year for him this and I get the sense he's determined to not only rebuild his reputation but start winning things again. That was telling yesterday with the passion he showed after being subbed off. Celebrating with his teammates when the winner went in despite being on the bench at the time. Love it.

Wasn't impressed with his performance against Braga but there's definitely more sharpness to come in his game. Was much better yesterday and as mentioned previously, has hit the net in every game he's played so far whether it be a disallowed goal or one that counts (with the exception of Partick Thistle I think).

Another couple of weeks of fitness and tactical work will push him on another level.

Lets hope so. But to be fair he has shown quite well and certainly been much better then I thought he would be already. Happy to be proven wrong about what I thought he could bring to the table for us this season.

Agree just think there is probably more to come and the break will help.

I think we've been spoiled with Maeda TBH. It's certainly true that Iheanacho will never press like that, high speed for 90 minutes; but how many strikers can? The main thing is that he can press in the right moments and he does it quite intelligently. Look at his part in the equaliser: he blocks the goalkeeper's passing lanes really intelligently. Look at how he's assessing and reacting.

I proper love him hahahahaha mental how much I’ve taken to him so quickly. Has that bit of class about him and his attitude actually seems brilliant. Definitely has the head screwed back on with a point to prove. Some guys just need to feel appreciated and they’ll repay that with 100% given every chance they get

His finish on the phantom goal was class I thought. Very assured. His contribution this season could yet be massive for us.

Think he needs to step it up a level or two which I hope he will as fitness and sharpness builds.

He still only has 1 goal from play to date in 5 games, 4 of them being starts. His link up play is good but I think his mobility and one sidedness are definitely weaknesses.

Hes done better than I thought, I am still looking for more but fitness levels need to peak.

Loved his celebration at Maeda goal, as a sub he was right up there.

It's really 2 from open play though. We all know the goal against Braga was a legitimate goal so although not officially a goal I think it should be counted by us when judging him at this early stage.

I know this sounds counterintuitive, but I'm not too bothered about the amount of goals our strikers get, as long as they're constantly disruptive to the opposition defence... I mean, loads of goals? * yeah! But if the drag players about and create space for our midfield to move in and attack that's worth it too... I agree on Nacho needing to be fitter, faster, sharper for that to really work though...

If we're scoring goals and creating chances you don't really care who is getting them to be honest but that's primarily the strikers duty.

He's better than I expected but I didn't expect much. I think will need to up it a few levels though which he may well do as his fitness and sharpness goes. We certainly need more from a starting striker though in the long term.

At the min his goals from open play per 90 is less than Kenny's who is a 22 year old kid from Ireland who hasn't got a proper run of games yet and only really has LOI experience.

We have a very extreme fanbase, fans who can savage one player and ignore all his attributes while eulogising another and ignoring all his weaknesses.

The truth is Iheanacho has probably come in and done better than a lot of us have expected and the expectation would be that with more games and minutes he will kick on a bit but that remains to be seen.

He still needs to up his levels significantly to be getting his jersey.

Actually, part of the problem is that he DOESN'T need to up his game to get the jersey...

But yeah, I'd agree with pretty much every bit of what you say

Please don't call him Nacho - gives me the boak. Heard Brendan calling him Kel once so that will do for me.
