I know he's been a bit shaky but the big man had a brilliant stop to keep us in it but, as for Ralston, I totally agree

It’s the first game they’ve lost domestically this season, granted they’ve drawn a lot , people mentioning the Covid season, Covid season we don’t come back from 2-1 and get a draw never mind the win, so fair play to bhoys

In the end, enjoyed today. Motherwell were a decent test today. Liked that the team had the character to dig in and get the win.

Definitely owe the Motherwell keeper a pint. Great assist from him today.

It's always good when we get a decent test and win.

I didn't think Motherwell were that good either really, they tried to play a bit but it was sporadic and they never really had any spell on the ball for more than 2 minutes but cause the way they were playing they were a constant threat that they could cut through you which made the game more interesting. Compared to like Hibs last week who sat in and done nothing.

The keeper as well to be fair never really time wasted either, usually opposition keepers all time waste epecially when drawing or winning. Their keeper kept running off to grab the ball and throwing it down for every goal kick in about 2 seconds, even when they were winning.

Sometimes in football there is a game that turns teams around in a season defining moment. Remember Celtic v Dundee in Ange's first season or Ralstons 97th min winner v Ross County. This may be ours, a simple marker to put down, a shift in mentality from certain players. Hopefully this is it.

My younger son's first game, plenty of action and got the result in the end.

Have to say though, I'm sceptical we're going to turn a corner in terms of performance before the next window. The team just look deflated and hesitant, which might be turned around, but there were also a lot of technical issues. Like, poor passing, slicing at chances, being weak in 50-50s. I don't know if that's something a new tactic or a kick up the * will fix in a big way. It's probably enough to win the league but not in the fashion we should expect.

Two of the goals were gifts. Did you not understand that part. We didn't create chances. We had their defender give away cheap penalty and their goalkeeper pass the ball to our player in the box.

With those individuals mistakes our XG is under 2.

They both made a big contribution to that win when they came on for sure. Hopefully they can really kick on from that now after the international break.

Hoping your right there and this turns out to be a pivotal result and moment in the season for us. Certainly given all the negativity on and off the field around the team at the moment and obvious lack of confidence going forward to come from 2-1 down in the final quarter of the game showed some real character and fight. I loved Iheanacho's mentality too after Nygren's equalizer he is off to celebrate and Iheanacho's grabbing him and saying * the celebration lets get going again and get a third. Then we have all seen the clips of him acting like a fan on the sidelines at the end there. Infectious stuff and much needed. We obviously have a lot of issues to sort out no question and getting the 3 points was always what mattered this weekend but there is no doubt the manner of that come back and late winner really was more then just getting the 3 points. That felt like a really massive shot in the arm for the team.

    Which goals were gifts?

The penalty was unlucky for them. His hand was high, unfortunately. It's one of those things you'll see every weekend. Also, we still had to put it away.

They * up for Nygren's goal but there was a lot of pressing from us to force the mistake.

    Maeda's goal was class.

Do all three goals equate to 3 xg? Strange because they scored with an xg of 1.47? Doesn't that mean that xg accounts for a margin of missing the chance no matter how gilt edged it is? Meaning all the goals don't equal 3xg...we created other chances to make it 3xg. In fact, I've just read that a penalty has an xg of 0.76...so not a guaranteed goal, obviously. Doesn't that mean that Nygren's goal had an xg of even less? And Maeda's less than that. So we did create more than the goals to meet our xg of 3?

The stats also show that we created 5 big chances? Does that not mean... We created chances?

I suppose if you take out our goals... We created less than the xg we finished the game with.

I suppose if you take out Motherwell's goals, we won 3-0.

It's fun ignoring some stats that goes against your opinion, eh, stats man?

The mistake wasn't forced. The goalkeeper passed it to a Celtic player inside the box. 2 of the 3 goals we played weren't from any great play, they were gifts presented to us from Motherwell.

The first goal was a completely needless penalty conceded by Motherwell. I'm not ignoring the stars, I'm just stating that we didn't create chances and we were gifted two goals. The reason we are struggling this year is we are relying on opposition passing us the ball in crazy areas and hoping the opposition handle the bar in the box.

Bar the Hibs game we've not created much.

The goal we got that was incorrectly chalked off against Braga was also a gift presented to us. The bottom line is we didn't really create many good chances in either our last 2 games. That's a worry for us.
