Mondays Meeting

They've got to come with answers to those questions. It'll be insane on their own part if they don't think it'll be raised.

 

Really interesting to see what comes out of it and if we can agree on a way forward, when they inevitably fail to answer the questions put adequately.

 

Lets be honest nothing will come of it. I assume they will echo what they put in the statement even though every paragraph was pure lies.
Hopefully I'm wrong

 

Key thing is to be strong and focussed and not accept the 'you are the lifeblood of the club' flattery and 'we are just as disappointed as you' bullshit.
I don't think that will happen though - its too far down the road.

Glass half full I expect an 'internal review (yeh, like the last 2 that didn't happen) with significant improvements expected' together with 'closer fan connections' be the proposed path forward.
Some hint if a DoF perhaps.

Glass half empty we get the the usual 'you don't understand' plus 'UEFA restrictions' together with 'long term security of our club more important than short term' with a 'its really really hard' and we have the the 'right board already, who bleed for the club as much as the fans'

The fan Collective focus needs to be factual, professional and not abusive, citing...

• Lack of ambition on pitch and UCL qualification
• Lack of competence/efficiency/effectiveness conducting incoming transfer dealings - over multiple windows
• Financial competence - ie hoarding cash then donating more than our record transfer in corporation tax to HMRC
• Clarity on the clubs KPI's - are they financial or sporting? What exactly are they?
• Lack of transparency overall on all the above - it's the supporters that fund the club and pay the boards wages, we must be better connected.

Need to 100% stay away from fan surveys and supporter/stadium experience distractions - those are separate, less critical issues and can be taken care of elsewhere. The board would love to spend time on that stuff to avoid real issues.

Not optimistic on major changes given turkeys don't vote for Christmas - but absolutely intrigued to see the outcome (hopefully a transcript or recording emerges)

Im not really sure if there is anything they can say to make things right.

Their initial response to the unrest revealed too much about how they think and operate to have any kind of confidence they are capable of meaningful changes.

 

I think it will turn very hostile very quickly unfortunately.

I hope they demand whoever leaked the Rodgers story to the press is fired. He won't, as we know who it is. But maybe he'll face reality a bit.

That most likely is the key that we can agree on the next steps together as I have zero confidence that tonight we will get anything positive from Nicholson and company never mind them accepting they have to go.

That is one of the absolutes for me. Be it Lawwell or not must be named and fired. That will be one of the answers I am looking for as I have no doubt that inside the building so to speak it is already know for a fact who did it. The fact that the person has not already been named and fired just convinces me even more that its Lawwell.
