What a John Kennedy/Sean Maloney combo? Because thats what we'd get..

I'll take my chances with Rodgers who's a far better coach that any of the previous names you mentioned.

It might not be Kennedy/Maloney, but even if it is, it would be short term.

So you are saying in effect, a demotivated Brendan on the road out, is a better manager than Nicky Hayen of Club Brugge who is on the up and up, and who I have mentioned before ?. :giggle1:

No I mean the Celtic managers you mentioned in your previous posts..

Also zero chance we could attract Hayen, for so many reasons.

Why does it need to be a temporary manager or caretaker tho?

Marco Rose is sitting doing nothing go and get him before the Huns do

If they sack Martin over next couple of weeks and go for someone like Rose they will romp it to the league

Let's be honest mate, if Rodgers did leave or is sacked, the board are 1000% appointing Kennedy until the end of the season.

    They're really not.

They are already panicking and calling meetings bcoz they can't sell out Europa League games. Not even they * are that out of touch to appoint someone who they know is largely disliked and who has already made a * of his last opportunity at i. They also know they wouldn't survive losing a league to hearts or the worst Huns team in their 13 year history.

Look at last few appointments since the Lennon shambles.
Targeted Eddie Howe, got a bit lucky with Ange, targeted Maresca, eventually got Rodgers due to an interfering auld * over in Ireland. May have stumbled through it but that's 4 top level managers since Kennedy was last in the dugout.
People need to get over this fear of Kennedy/Maloney it's not happening.

At this moment in time of settle for someone who could make us fitter. Fitness levels are dreadful

The board won't sack Rodgers and rightly so and they're never getting someone like Rose in quickly.. they know they're fighting for their own lives at the moment

Reality is regardless of the arguments about how Rodgers is setting the team up right now it was and is going to be a tough watch most likely for a while as you simply cannot take so many attacking players out of a team as the board has done starting with Koyogo last January and not expect it to hurt the team. Again, Rodgers has to accept part of the blame for how we are playing but mostly this is on the board and I am not even interested in contemplating anything other then Lawwell, Nicholson, McKay and Desmond resigning/selling as well as firing whoever backstabbed Rodgers with the hit piece be that Lawwell or another director.

If we get rid of the board maybe Rodgers stays.

I'd like to see Rodgers stay but tbh i think at the end of this season his shelf life will probably be up regardless of what happens at Board level, sometimes a refresh is good for everyone, happens with players and managers.

Hope not. We need a complete refresh.

Our football in 2025 has been dire. It happened in his first spell as well. The classic horseshoe pish.

Rodgers’ style of football is becoming outdated. Football is returning to being more direct, getting up the pitch quicker. Transitional play. Fast, physical players.

Rodgers has never seen eye to eye with any board he has worked for he’s part of the problem not the solution

If he’s still here in January window he should demand that at least 3 new players of his choice within budget are added in the first week of window.
If that’s done then he will stay.
If not he will be gone at end of season.

Who could Celtic get in if they use half of their £77mn so £38.5mn split between 2 or 3 new players.
Some of the remaining £38.5 mn could go to refurbing the stadium.
So spend £38.5mn on players, £8.5mn on stadium refurbishment which still leaves £30 mn to play with and that’s before receiving UEFA money
