    The data suggests otherwise, he was woeful and is never an attacking midfield player in a million years, Alan from Huddle Breakdown says the data points to him being more of a RB or RWB, not a midfielder

    Thought he was poor, would still agree that a run in the team for him should happen as midfield has been woeful so far and Saturday looked better, possibly the best we've been.

    On Idah i actually agree. That was overspending. He had a terrible record prior to signing for us at Norwich. Was never worth 10 mill and i am actually shocked we got as much as we did in return.

    Engels have been capped for Belgium, started week in week out in Bundesliga and is a very young guy with development potential.

    He wasn't an attacking midfielder when we signed him, most of his highlight reels showed his best stuff playing from deeper in the midfield, thought it meant BR was going to change the shape of the team at the time to have two sitters and possibly go 4-2-3-1, his position in the current 4-3-3 doesn't suit him and he's not the only one.

    Some of us have been saying it for about a year now.

    He had a decent couple of weeks at the start of his career here but has been hopeless ever since. Penalty kicks and corners have massively inflated his "contribution".

    People have been desperate for him to be good. A waste of time and money like 99% of the dross we've signed under Rodgers mk II

    But part of me is thinking can ALL our midfielders really be that bad or is it what they're being asked to do?

    I thought he looked good when he came on.

    He has some real top quality attributes man, he is not a dud it’s just now clicking for whatever reason. I personally think it’s mostly down to his mentality but there’s a real quality footballer there if it can be harnessed properly.
