Proving yet again that you have the braincells of a gnat. I wonder how you'd react in your workplace if you were treated the same way Daizen was over the summer.

Gives us several years of hard work, let's us know well in advance that he wants a new challenge so we can prepare a replacement, banking the club a monster profit in return, and yet now he's the bad one because our utterly inept recruitment team and board couldn't find a replacement? Have a word with yourself that is one of the most embarrassing posts I've ever read on here.

Bin the silence bit , team needs all the support it can get. Sack the board sung all around the stadium until kick off.

I think we need to keep up the protests, but not increase the time of the silence.

Also whilst the goal of sacking the board is unlikely to happen, they should be on notice that unless we have a very good Jan window, the protests will be ramped up.

Silent protest was poor, totally missed the mark.
Vocal and visual dissent without impacting the players is the only way.

How do you know Maeda has taken a huff, isnt trying, and is only moving for money? Rodgers has stated a couple of times that isnt the case.

Teams nowadays couldnt give two * about the long term future of players. Its quite an ask for players to care about the club when it suits.

It's pretty obvious watching his performances last season and this season that something is clearly off with him and he's not putting in similar levels of effort that we've seen over the past 3 years.

In terms of players caring about the club. That goes back to my original point.

Why should fans tailor the protests so as not to upset the players when in modern football the players dont particularly care for the long term of the club and will happily leave the fans adoration behind in a heartbeat for more cash?

As supporters we are the only ones concerned with long term future of the club so that should be out only concern at this time and should be doing all possible tomorrow the clubs of the current board

I think the idea of silence impacting the players is overdone. It just isnt helpful. But it isnt going to destroy the confidence of a player and Celtic Park is pretty quiet generally like most stadiums nowadays. I dont understand the value of it but thats a different thing.

On Maeda and players in general, they are commodities to clubs. If they are not good, clubs will invite them from the other side of the world, not play them, and send them home without a thought. Players dont have loyalty because teams dont have loyalty. Maeda needs to try and get over his disappointment but I dont think he has consciously given up. I bet his running is still on par with other players in the first 11. This problem has been caused solely by the transfer window shambles, not Maeda.

It wasnt silence that made lawell leave last time. It was action.

As much as I agree with the sentiment I feel Saturday and the silence was a huge missed opportunity. Not had a home game for a month and all the chat a month ago was how toxic the hibs game would be and it just wasn't if the board could have hand picked a protest it would have been a silence. I think banners or constant chanting towards the board makes the point better.

The stadium is quiet outwith the GB and the bhoys so it almost made it feel like it was another GB protest when that isn't the case I even heard folk booing when they started singing in the 12th minute which is daft as we all want the same thing but there has to be better and more effective ways to go about it as opposed to silence

Yeah I don't think the silence is beneficial but it's more bcoz I don't think the board care and are probably quite happy if particularly sections of the stadium are quiet.
Id rather we did as much as we could to make them feel uncomfortable as possible for 90 mins.

Aye it's just modern football, the only loyalty is from fan base.

A good example was Huns on Sunday. They scored a 94th minute winner and while the players are still celebrating the fans are singing ”Martin get tae *”. Far more powerful than sitting in silence

Aye the whole silence thing hasn't really hit the target for me and it'll just keep missing over the next games..

It's went a bit flat. Was never gonna be easy with all the fan groups getting together and thinking of what to try, but it definitely hasn't really worked so far......

Hopefully the people who are meeting to discuss protests and how we take things forward are reading all the negative comments re the silent type protest and look at a more suitable alternative. Personally, I'd opt for the more visual and audible type protest to make those feckers uncomfortable as *

Here’s a fitting idea I hope we can all rally behind: refuse to buy any merch until there’s Champions League qualification. Let’s use their own tactics against them. Henrik Larsson collection? No can do, no Champions League, nae luck Peter.

Just a thought on the "silent protests" do you think we could encourage vegans to adopt these?

Imagine living in a world where people who didn't want to eat animal products, didn't feel the need to bore the * off of you by telling you they don't eat meat products.
