This bollox about being a better player the less he plays is exactly that, bollox.

We're not crying out for him because he's the Japanese Pele, we're crying out for him because we've got * all else.

If it turns out he's worse than what we currently have, then he needs to chuck football and take up sumo wrestling.

If he's a worse stiker than what we currently have, then he realy would have more chance of making it in sumo.

He looked quick, strong and hardworking. Why not try him at right wing considering how bad balikwisha, yang, forrest and maeda have been.
    We've nothing to lose.

Incredibly difficult to assess him... as he's hardly been seen..

If he is good enough, what would Rodgers gain by not trying him.

Scoring political points with the Board ? Same as with Inamura ?

    Just a thought.

Seems, daft if that is the case, Rodgers will be off regardless.. nothing to gain.

Well I'm just looking at the situation logically about Shin and I can't make head nor tail of it.
He comes with a reputation of being a physically mobile striker, who can score goals, and has some spring on him for headers for a guy at 5'8'.

Just exactly what we were looking for on paper.

Brendan brings him on at Ibrox as a sub, and Shin gets stuck right in amongst them, a promising start.
Then he completely vanishes from the team, squad, and Europa registered list of Celtic players.
    It's a complete mystery.

Point scoring over the board. Not the first time Rodgers has done this either. Tunnel vision.

Saracchi actually looks very good to be honest.

Yamada didn’t look great if we’re honest. The longer he is out the side the better he appears to be though. Similar to what happened with Lagerbielke.

It's actually a fact, we know very little about him. People are writing off Kenny despite the fact he's only played about 100 minutes more football than Yamada for us in a competitive setting and has managed 2 goals in that time.

I don't see the basis for people crying out for Yamada. He is a 25 year old striker who has not scored in his past 20 or so outings, who can barely get minutes for the Japan thirds, who has came to Scotland severly out of form and who most Japanese commentators expressed surprise that he was getting a move to Europe.

I don't get how people can write off Kenny but think Yamada is the answer. Rodgers clearly thinks Kenny has is more ready or has more potential right now.

I agree. Sarrachi does look very good. But the Shin mystery is utterly baffling.

He is not even being given any chance to see what he can do in the team. Meantime we are battling on with Forrest and Yang and getting no change out of them at all.

The coaching staff see him every day, he's obviously not impressing them

The same coaching staff, and I'm thinking of our defensive coach John Kennedy in particular here, see the same team in training everyday, and still have not taught our defence to deal with set pieces correctly after all these years.

I wouldn't place too much creedence on that theory.

Considering the majority of attacks we face in the spl are set pieces, we dont actually do that bad. Eventually some will get by. Fact we've barely let a goal in this season, the defence seem to be coping well. Seems to be the case folk just keep up the same narrative without actually watching.

Why does this get trotted out every so often, I don't think he has ever had that role

I think he looked decent if a bit raw. But we haven’t seen enough of him.

I don’t think it’s fair that he and Inamura have been purchased to rot on a bench the entire season. The latter in particular is a horrific waste of a development opportunity and another example of blind incompetence at the board level.

    Because he’s a former defender that’s why

    He’s the assistant manager
