I used to get pelters from some people when I criticised him making the excuse that "he was still young" however, as Ive said umpteen times, most fans know a good player when they see one and I have seen absolutely nothing from him to show me that he's a good player. Oh, and don't give me that * about him taking a "good corner" as you can find an * player taking a good corner and he wouldn't cost 11 million fecking quid

thought he was decent obvious lost confidence but needs playing to get that was better than hatate and he keeps playing * get better, the price tag and what the fans expect from that has affected him

nearly scored got up and down the park better energy than nygren id probably play the both of them, good at set pieces

    * get better the more games he plays maybe play him aml with nygren amr

Too far gone now, he's been pish for too long and he plays like he knows it. Was disgusting to watch today.

Would bite your hand off to get the £11m back, excels at nothing.

I've been moaning for years that we need big, tall athletic players, and here we are, stuck with one who is so powder puff he could be out-muscled by one of our ball boys

Even if we had have bought him for 1 million - currently you would be saying that price was too much on the evidence so far. Not sure what he has to offer - I have not seen anything yet - very disappointing at present

Just don’t think he has the mentality to play for us. He’s too…soft.

No intensity or desire about the way he plays. Wants time on the ball. Gets shoved around. Nothing is done with conviction.

This thread is the same after every game he plays now, has been for a long time .

He's pretty anonymous anytime he pulls a Celtic shirt on and all the arguments to defend him are really running out of steam at this point. It's reminding me more and more of the Idah situation. He

I actually think his price tag has made people more determined to believe that there HAS to be a player in there and just give it more time and more time until all this potential reveals itself, with very little evidence to support that. If he was a 3m punt from the * end of the Polish League or somewhere, people would be far more accepting of the fact that he's not going to do anything of note here, and realise we need to move him on and find better...

Yep get a nice lump of money back and move on . Think the club will be thinking the same.

Cash in, looks as though he plays with the huff. Evident now we vastly overspent on him

He offered some utility in the Champions League with his athleticism and scored a few penalties here and there, but that’s literally it.

Clearly the idea was for Rodgers to develop him in an attacking sense, but it’s just not happening and hasn’t been for awhile. And Rodgers regularly turning to McCowan before him says a lot.

Getting our money back seems a stretch. At least with Idah there were the 20 goals in limited game time teams could latch onto. I’m not sure any clubs are looking at what Engels has produced and thinking, “yes!”.

I honestly feel for bernardo , for me he has more impact on a game and because engels price tag he is being sacrificed, different players apparently but I've seen enough of engels now

He'd thrive under a manager who can be bothered to actually use his strengths to the teams advantage, and is able to instill confidence in his players.

I guarantee you, if Rodgers goes end of season and we get such a manager in next year, Engels will be undroppable. Same goes for Bernardo.

Bernardo came on and hit the target with a decent half volley, got decent power behind it, just too central which the Hibs keeper was able to save

Engels however was putting powder puff attempts wide or blasting them out the stadium, I've much more confidence when Scales or CCV line up a shot, seriously

Engels and McCowan didn't do enough to start on Thursday, with Hatate injured, surely it's time Bernardo got a start, with Braga being Portuguese opposition, maybe Bernardo would be better suited to playing against such a side
