Its the europa leage.. its normally only about 40k we sell for that. Easy to say that they are protesting when they wouldn't buy the europa league ticket anyway. I wouldnt be suprised if supporters buy tickets that dont get tickets normally and end up selling more than we would usually.

Same here, know a few who are planning to go to games. It's a tricky one as a lot of people are (quite rightly) saying back the team, no matter what - fair enough. For me I prefer to abstain from spending as it's my only form of protest being away from Scotland. I will buy kits and make arrangements to get to the odd game a season usually, but enough is enough.

I don't think our happiness is of any concern to this board at all. Their only concern is the profit margin. We have such a loyal fanbase that supporters, usually starved of access to European matches (whether through availability or non-qualification) will grab the opportunity of attending these games and cheering on the team we all adore. Whether we agree with this sentiment or not, I respect everyone's right to do what their conscience permits, it's not necessarily in favour of the board, something with board will never understand and we equally have to accept. Ideally most of us would love to see vast empty seats in support of the protest, realistically I doubt that will happen. Hopefully any attending fans will show distain towards the governing bodies and voice their opinion of them loudly and clearly, and not purchase from the shop or food outlets inside the stadium either. Maybe the hierarchy will then think 'Hold on, we've not sold as many seats as we'd hoped through boycotting, now even those that have bought tickets are shouting they don't like us either'. So fan groups have shown their displeasure, now those not actually affiliated are also showing their resentment too!.
Ticket sales are down, merchandise sales are down, AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING! They must understand we love the club, we back Brendan and the team but we despise the board deeply. Make them squirm in their privileged seats as they look at their phones. They were uncomfortable with 5000 jeering at the Partick Thistle, imagine 60000 at Paradise, louder, prouder and more defiant.

    It's a conundrum...isn't it? :43:

£45 a ticket is a disgrace imo, each to their own but don’t think people should be paying that if they really want change at boardroom level

Make the board as uncomfortable as possible and leave absolutely no doubt to Desmond and his board cronies that they need to go. All the while backing Brendan Rodgers and the team loudly and proudly. Both of which I though were done brilliantly last weekend at Firhill.

Look at the comments on the tweet it's going the same way it always does a couple of wins and it dies down.

Unfortunately so, but let's hope the collective that is backed by some big players in the supporter group, collectively, keep it up.

There is always gonna be happy clappers, board plants, bots, opposite fans pretending, yada yada yada who simply want to be the opposite of what others are saying.

Look at the comments and you have to ask (though pointless asking them directly), what would they support?

They half agree change would be nice, but never want to do anything about it.
    "What can I do"
    "That'll hurt the team"
    "My kid wants a shirt"

So far the past month, some folk won't support a boycott (fair), won't support not spending money in the shop incase it hurts the financial side of investing in the team, won't support the 12 minute late entry, in case it hinders the team, won't support a basic silence, won't support singing "sack the board" and often use the technical aspect that they can't be sacked, even though they know that's not the true meaning behind the chant, it's just a play on "sack the manager", so what would these people actually support in any sort of way to voice the collective annoyance and ask for change?

    Nowt, seemingly.

I dont like this to be honest. The board wont give two * if people cheer or not and the only people who will notice are the players.

All fans should ask themselves a few questions irrespective of their stance on currant actions. Would you be content with continued future failings at the club? Do you dream of European nights like last season? Do you want to see more youth progression from the academy? More fan engagement? Improvements at Paradise? More ambition from the board? The list is endless...
If you're fine with everything as it is that's fine, but if you just want one thing to improve, no matter what that one thing is, back the attempt at change. You don't have to want to change everything, you don't have to agree with every action. You just have to want to have better in whatever it is you would like to see improve. Because if future events disappoint you, will you rue wasting this opportunity? A change will come, it will come quicker if it's backed now, the longer it continues the higher things will escalate. Don't wait until we either lose the league or have no silverware at the end of a campaign and no European involvement of any kind. A small pretty painless decision now could have a huge positive effect for the future... Even a chosen periods of silence now could stop a future with nothing to cheer about. :50:

It doesn't look as if all fans are together on this & that will be the downfall. The board don't look as if they will make any changes & unless all fans are together they won't be forced to do anything.

Is it silent protest vs Braga at home? Insanely bad game imo. The first minutes and the atmosphere in europe is a strong weapon.

So is it silence for just that minute? Or for 12 then 29 then 32 in the last game..

Not everyone is going to agree, but its important any action is supported until there's change..
