Think he'll suit us down to the ground. Would still start Maeda up top on Wednesday as that pace and running in behind will be important.

 

Some lovely link up play. That one where he spun and started the one for Hatate first half was the best of the lot..

He's gonna do alright i think. We've needed someone who can play back to goal for a while and bring others in. Maeda couldn't. Idah couldn't. Kyogo had moments but was more cheating the offside and coming alive..

 

He has a great 1st touch!!! I still think we should have had our transfers done much earlier, but if he continues in this manner he’ll be a really good acquisition. Happy with what ive seen so far from him.

 

Early days but I like what I see already. Makes a difference when a striker can bring other players into the game so effectively.

 

Surely we could get a tune out of maeda off the right....
Then the front three pick themselves when kelchi gets up to speed

Give it a few weeks and this'll be how we line up domestically. At least until Jota comes back.

The assist for Tounektis was a nice touch but I felt he was passive today. Doesn't look mobile and certainly won't help in a high press game.

It could take him a few months to get up to speed, don't really see him being the striker who is going to bang in goals for us.

 

Having a ST with an excellent touch is perfect for us.

 

Not worried about him hitting 20+ goals. In this system we need a guy that can drop deep and bring others into the game, which then gives us more going forward. When Idah done that well we were a far better team. Just a shame he didn't do it nearly enough.

 

100% better at linking up than Idah was.

I'll give him credit, so far he stepped up and put away a pressure penalty and I thought his hold up play today was good. Lovely one-two with Tounetki for his goal and some lovely first touches with nice passing as well. Forced the keeper into a good save from the edge of the box as well. He's noticeably leaner than he was last year at Middlesbrough so fair play to him for knuckling down and putting the work in. A useful squad addition despite being a barrel-scraping desperation signing. Hopefully he can kick on even more and who knows maybe end up staying longer.

 

He showed real quality in his link up play, and was only denied a goal by a tremendous save by their goalkeeper. Just need to be patient with him as he builds up his match fitness and cardio.

I think he may surprise us all, and he certainly has that bit of cockiness and confidence I love to see in a Celtic player.

 

Finally a striker that can take the ball in and link the play.

Far better option than Idah

 

Definitely looks great with hold up & linking our play, perfect for against teams sitting deep against us. Wont suit Europe where we need someone pressing and quick like Maeda, if only we could combine the 2.

 

He's a good player. Just had a bit of bad luck.
