Yang has never put in a performance even approaching Tounekti’s today.

 

He didn’t even get past a guy who had slipped and was on the deck. * sorry state of affairs that we had to pull the plug on a deal worth £3m quid.

 

Didn't like how he was in the box with a good bit of space and it looked like he was a centre back who had somehow landed in that position and didn't really know what to do. Just ended up running into trouble and creating naff all.

No conviction whatsoever. Playing with absolutely zero confidence. Can't really see how he gets his confidence back either.

 

He's * useless and has been for 99% of his Celtic career.

 

Was he booed by our fans when he came on?

 

I want him to do well and like him but I just don’t think he’s got it. He’s not the finished article but I think his ceiling is still going to be too low to be good enough. Flashes here and there isn’t enough. Feel for him with the Birmingham deal but we should have been biting their hand off.

 

He’s a dud

 

Not even going to slate the boy any more. He’s been landed into a situation that he’s totally ill-equipped to cope with.

 

I'm normally very, very harsh on duds, but I really like Yang. He seems like such a nice guy and he tried his best. He just doesn't have the footballing brain, but I will not hold that against him. Not his fault he was signed and our board basically made him first choice RW by default for a period.

Idah was the same in the fact his transfer fee wasn't his fault, but I thought he just didn't try hard enough and hid. Yang doesn't do that and considering the outright farce the Birmingham deal falling through was, I will give the lad leeway.

 

I genuinely would like to see Yang loaned. He is still relatively young and I think Asian players generally take that but longer to mature and develop physically.

I'm certainly not going to sit here and argue he has been anywhere near good enough for us. He hasn't, that's the plain and simple of it.

I do like the fact he is positive and goes at defenders and he has had his moments where he has shown quality.

He's just been so erratic and shown he can't be replied upon on a consistent basis. At a club like Celtic you have to be on it every week as a winger or you will get bashed. He's only gone 23, I wouldn't write him off yet. It might not be at Celtic he makes it but for £3m I think he has a lot more potential to generate more with a decent spell elsewhere.

Send him on loan to a club where he can get away with being inconsistent and still get regular minutes and I think he could develop significantly. If he got a good 6 months in Belgium or Holland or Portugal and brought that form into a World Cup he could generate decent money.

We saw what nearly happened with Oh.

Needs to put all the transfer * out his head man. So many times today he was unsure, hesitant, poor touch etc. Yet scores and should have had an assist after that rapid counter where he was excellent.

He'll be getting plenty minutes whether people like it or not due to lack of options, he may as well put everything into it as he can add plenty to us.

 

“So many times today he was unsure, hesitant, poor touch etc.” that’s Yang, he is not good enough. He’s only here because our board couldn’t sort out a replacement!!! The guy was an empty jersey prior to his proposed move to Birmingham, don’t expect anything more.
