Very emotional video with the King.
And good to hear Henrik say unashamedly, that now he is 50+, he can acknowledge he really was a very good player.

 

Interesting when he says he would’ve left regardless of the Seville result.

He’s very single minded, and extremely open and honest about his intentions. A lot of footballers could look at how he left as the ideal way of doing so while remaining on the best possible terms with the fanbase.

It’s strange thinking about a decent percentage of the fanbase now having never seen him play for us, whereas he was an integral part of football when o was young, and a massive part of my childhood.

The ‘world class’ tag does get thrown around too easily. You get entire squads of players who have won nothing, whose reputation and value mean people decide they’re world class. Henrik really earned the title though. The quote about always believing you had a chance with him in your team, is bang on.

 

My hero, always will be.

 

Happy birthday Henrik.

He's probably the only human that I get goosebumps whenever I see. There is something about him. Don't know if it's nostalgia or if he was the player who first made me love football, the best player to ever play for Celtic in my opinion. What a human being as well, seems such a nice guy.

 

Hope the King is enjoying his birthday. That youtube video was a thoroughly enjoyable watch.

Shame that the old TV quality drops off massively when transferred to digital.
