Never in doubt for me that we would not see Maeda giving his all for the team and hopefully now with that goal he goes on a real run of goalscoring.

 

You have to laugh about them moaning about that throw in, when the ball comes all the way across the pitch and back again before Sarrachi crosses it in to the goal. It’s not like we take a quick one and break away or something.

 

How much will he go for

 

Exactly. They have little to be moaning about if that's the case.

Worst decision of the entire game was the yellow Tounekti picked up.

 

Shocking decision. Clearly got the ball, wasn't even close.

 

To be fair, compared to the rest of the game, that was the quickest we moved at all.

Daizen Maeda showed you can't question his commitment for his performance on Sunday. If there was any chat about, you know, his mind being elsewhere, you could put that to bed?

I think it's probably been a difficult period for him. He doesn't let out a lot of emotion, but I think you see in Daizen the integrity of what he brings to the team and his own game and what it brings. So that was a brilliant goal. You know, the movement, any former strikers or strikers watching that will have seen his movement. There's other areas of his game that are different to other strikers. But he scores goals, and his movement and the cross in was was very, very good and he gets his goals. So I just think that whilst he's here, he's a type of player, especially as we move through the season. He's very honest to the game, and I think he's that type of player that it will be very hard for him not to give 100%.

Loved Daizen grabbing the badge when he scored last week. Some might say it's disingenuous after him admitting he wanted to leave, but that's wee guy patter.

He's not a mercenary, he's just clearly loved his time here and is hugely grateful. Wanting a new challenge is only natural, doesn't take away from the love he obviously has for the club.

Really hope he can get back to his form of last season. King Daizen.

Getting wee bit worried about Daizen now, not really kicked a ball since April.
Final ball, finishing and control looks desperate at times this season.
