Wish Adam Idah nothing but the best. He gave us some great memories and scored some vital goals. He can definitely look back on his time at Celtic with pride. Probably didn't have the mentality to deal with being a Celtic player and the expectations long term so best for him to move on now and hopefully he does well.

The Celtic manager was asked about Adam Idah after the striker completed a move to Swansea City on deadline day.

He said, "Adam was a player who hadn't asked to leave. Swansea wanted him around same time as other possibilities could have happened for us. We didn't want to lose him. It looked as though it would be one out, one in, but that didn't happen for whatever reason.

The guy may end up as being the tipping point in the Rodgers/Lawwell battle. Rodgers was clear he wasn’t to go without a replacement in and they sold him anyway. Following the coward press conference maybe it will in the end do us a huge favour. It wasn’t working out for him here, but he may have helped bring about change

Said this in the Ange thread (they were playing Forest) but he got the worst rating on the pitch by a distance. They have a guy up front...Vipotnik who has been on fire and came on & scored again. Looks like Idah will be getting plenty of skelfs on his * this season.. just how he likes it.

So glad we got rid, felt like a tool the board could point to for not signing a striker and to lay blame at Rodgers' door.

We'd have paid about half if we didn't have a gun to our heads or negotiated an option to buy when he came on loan. He's a reflection of the board's failings more than Rodgers'.

We can all whinge about him, but unfortunately we'd still be better off if he was at the club. What a sorry state we're in.

Is he worse than Yang or Forrest starting on the wing? Early days for Balikwisha but it hasn't looked promising.

Him being gone pulls Maeda out of position and I think our wing options are worse than having him staring up top. Even if you disagree with that, he was our 1st or 2nd striker and he wasn't replaced.

Most people remember the last part of a season and he did score some important goals when he came in second half of the 23/24, did his bit to help us get back to the top of the league, also scoring the winner in the dying minutes of a Scottish Cup final against the Huns, made him a favourite, but as someone else, bang very average striker playing with no confidence

Agreed. But not worse than any other attacking player we have on our books right now. They all look completely ineffectual apart from Tounekti and I don't want to get carried away with him.
