Probably scared of going full tilt on that pitch for fear of crocking himself again.

I think there is a psychological thing going on with him at the moment though, where even he is expecting to break down at any moment and is scared to really go for it. It's going to take time without injuries to get over that.

Why he was brought on is the real question that needs asked.

Thought he looked brutal when he came on tbh. Whether he should’ve been on the pitch or not is up for debate but Jesus * that was a bad cameo. He’s not played regular football so that on top of an absolute hideous pitch I’m hoping it’s nothing to worry about but needs to be so much better.

He was one of a couple of strange subs. Don't get why he and Yang came on. That took away the flair on the wing that we dominated the whole game.

Started the season pretty well although it was clear him, Reo, and Maeda needed to work on their partnership down the left but was absolutely dire when he came on yesterday, that's on Rodger's though for putting him in after 1 days training when he has a perfectly good 3rd choice in Inamura that could've played the last 30.

It's a good job he was brought on, otherwise we would have went 2-1 down, at 1-1, Kilmarnock had another corner, Kilmarnock player makes clean contact at point blank range which would have given Schmeichael no chance, KT got his head in the way to block it

I was probably one of the few that didn’t want him back, even on a free. Unfortunately, he’s miles off it. He’s been training for 2 months now, yes I get the sharpness aspect of him playing games but he is so unfit. We have a problem if we think he can help us. As I’ve stated previously the only reason he is here is because, in my opinion, he is done. I feel so sorry for him because we, Celtic, done this to him by over playing the boy.

I might be wrong but was it no from him putting it out of play initially under no real pressure?

The manager said Sarrachi only had an hour in him as it was his first start in a game since March or something like that. He didn’t have many other options on the bench. I suppose he could have put Murray on and moved Scales over, which actually would have gave us some more height to defend set plays.

When Tierney first came on he played a couple of cracking forward balls to set us away on attacks.

Get that but I suppose the roundabout point I’m trying to make us there appears to be an initial plan for subs prior to the game kicking off and it does not alter no matter what. We lack flexibility when it comes to subs, Sarrachi could have easily played the 90 from what I seen, he didn’t look to be fading even if ‘the plan’ was for him to have an hour - playing him for the remainder of the match would have been less risky than playing KT on a fake pitch with his injury record.

I really don't get the overly negative stuff here.
He was always going to need time to get fitness back and he's not going be the marauding LB we used to know.
We just need to play to his strengths.
First couple of games folk were suggesting possible POTY ffs.

He's next level passing the ball forward wide and onto strikers - assists already this season.
His positional sense and 1 v 1 is excellent.
He's fine defensively when ball is in front of him.

Yes, he does struggle when ahead of the ball and when sprinting back is clearly limited, even scared to go flat out.

I'd have him over Taylor and Sarachi any day of the week.

The thing is right, his strengths were his ability to bomb up and down. His pace and power. That looks virtually gone. Tierney without those physical qualities is no more than an average fullback.

He's also been fit for about 10 months now with no injuries. So if he's still not up to speed, it's a huge, huge concern that shouldn't be overlooked.

I didn't expect him to be the same player, but I expected way more than what we've so far.

Wasn't from that corner, was from the one at 89th minute that Watkins shot from outside the box

I'll be surprised if he's still playing beyond his 32nd birthday to be honest.

His first game or two looked promising but it’s starting to become quite evident that he’s nowhere near what we hoped for physically. Fingers crossed he gets there but in the Derby game in particular he seemed slow and unfit.

Why 32? Is that when his contract is up with us?

Think everyone needs to calm down with KT and show a bit of patience.

We know at his best he is head and shoulders above anything in our league.

Its blindly obvious Rodgers is building his fitness up to a higher level but we can't force it or we will break him again. Have to go easy on him.

As the fitness build, as will his confidence to trust his body again. He will push himself harder when he knows his body is capable of it.

I have no doubts KT will go up many levels between now and the end of the season. We just got to be patient with him.

I saw him at the Ajax game as I was sitting just a few meters away from his side of the pitch. I thought he was phenomenal and a real difference-maker.

However, the way things are turning out, really makes me question his health, though.

I really hope he can bounce back and return stronger than ever. He's a heck of a player when on form.
