Agree on our penalty but it's definitely a free out for their goal and I think the ball hit Shankland arm on the shirt line which I don't think is considered handball under current roles.

Asgard clearly looks to see where the keeper is, backs into him with the ball nowhere near and proceeds to throw his arm around his neck/chest. Doesn't matter how weak the keeper is you can't try and rough him up when the ball isn't there.

Its a beautiful thing, decisions went against them for a change.. :56:

Now they think there's an agenda.. :56:

Shankland one, when he's celebrated he is clearly saying to the other players that he handles it. :56:

For as long as l've watched football the goalies have been a protected specie rightly or wrongly but with the hun goal on Saturday 2 of them bumped the goalie which it's about time they got things against them.

Have always said most of the hun penalties are penalties, it's the decisions the "smaller" teams don't get against them

I think we should have had two other penalties, so us getting 1 out of 3 shouldn't be seen as us getting the big decisions.

The Diets goal, the handball didn't lead directly to the goal so rightly it stands. Had he handled it then shot then it wouldn't count.

Two huns fould the keeper, it's blatent as *. You can't do that in football.

The penalty had some contact, he sticks his foot out and clips him.

They definitely got screwed by VAR and we definitely got two undeserved extra points due to VAR, I don't see how anyone can argue otherwise.

But as others have pointed out, this is a new experience for them and that's why they are going nuts. Every other team in Scotland gets shafted by the officials (including VAR) multiple times a season. Now they got a taster.

    Good.

    What VAR was wrong

The first decision here is quite similar. Collum explains he puts an arm out to block the shot so is a penalty.

This video was before our match too.

Ball could have went into the net if it never hit his outstretched arm. I would expect a penalty against us if that happened. Would I be raging about it ? Aye. Would I be raging if Big CCV two footed a * to the baws and gave away a penalty ? Aye.

    Still a penalty.

Largely agree. The language around these type of balls is subjective, there is a lot of leeway given to a referee to use his own discretion/interpretation which is why anyone coming out with definitive language such as a shocker or a stonewaller is not being objective on the decision.

I would feel aggrieved if it went against us though, it was very harsh but its one of those you can argue either way. There will be penalties like that given this season and penalties like that not given - that is where the frustration stems from.

I still can't believe we get the head of refereeing doing this... It's such a progressive step forward for our game, and I'll die on that hill... Even if it's decisions against us and I disagree with them!

While I always thought he was a * ref, I think he is actually quite passionate about it, especially getting trust. His defence of the hun pens are odd, especially the first but most of what he says makes sense. It's probably the only real attempt at improving refereeing in Scotland.

I agree that our goal should be disallowed.

    You are right mate.
Robertson is an out and out hun *, very sneaky one like the Cheeky Chappie McCoist.
Never thought I would say it, but I would rather have Dallas or Beaton handling our games.

Apparently our first goal should been a Killie throw in as well.

I don't think the huns were, but they can't really complain when they have had dodgy penalties this season already such as Alloa and Dundee.

The whole corruption/bias/conspiracy paranoia is laughable.

How can both old firm teams be both biased towards and against at the same time? - by definition that's impossible.
The weekend games surely dispel the conspiracy theories too.

There is absolutely both incompetence and inconsistency in refereeing, but no conspiracy.
It's just an excuse for deficiencies in our own performance.

There is no conspiracy/cabal. I do think in years gone by referees have definitely given them some odd decisions, but many of them have been open about it, so not really a conspiracy. That's the issue of referees being able to referee games of teams they support and/or have links to. There is a reason other countries put a stop to it. You may not be openly bias but if you're thinking yellow, actually possible red. Are you fit to make that decision with a team you support?
