On one hand I agree with him. Players have to play through bad form, we can’t be quick to just drop players.

But Bernardo especially deserves better than this.

The 3-0 win over the Huns at Parkhead.

In between he has waxed between rare one goal strikes and months of utter dogshit.

And yet most people on here have him as one of the first names on their team sheet.

    Funny old game football is.

Yeah if it's a couple of weeks fair enough but he's not had a good game all season. At what point does he say enough.

Treatment of Bernardo has been terrible. I actually think his performance v Livingston was 1 of our best performances from any midfielder this season.

Rodgers does this tho with certain players, looses trust in them after 1 bad performance (Ibrox in January) and just completely bombs them out, while others are allowed 9 or 10 absolutely stinking performances with no issues.

You can normally see in ten minutes what kind of game he's going to have. Don't think it would be right to hook him after 10, so tell him he starts, but the first half will decide if he starts the second.

Brendan keeps him on pitch based on what he can do rather than what he is doing.
Hopes for moment of magic (Young Boys) that are becoming increasingly rare.

Dropping him would make sense - but he is not alone and you can't drop the whole midfield so something else has to change in system, attitude or personnel.

I’d be dropping Nygren over Hatate. If it’s one or the other that is.

Hatate hasn't kicked a ball this season, he either gives the ball away or makes a 3 yard pass sideways or backwards. He contributes nothing. He needs to be dropped.

Agree. By far, far, the worst player in the whole squad. Would play youth over him in all honesty.

Yeah I'm surprised there is a clamour for McCowan to start from now on. Thought he was awful when he came on. Was all over the place. I like McCowan as well but I certainly wouldn't be starting him based on Sunday's showing

I agree with this, I thought McCowan got totally “Wee Guy’d” when trying to win the ball back and compete. Mind you McGregor was the same going into challenges.

I was surprised he came on ahead of Engels or Bernardo, who are not perfect but have a level of physicality to them.

I believe an energetic, physically strong centre midfielder would make a big difference to us in allowing McGregor, Nygren or Hatate and even McCowan to play their own game.
