Hope that gives him the confidence to get going.

    Seemed alright actually.

Was a move he made think about 8 minutes after coming on, ball goes out wide left and as soon as it goes there's he's already started making the run through the middle to anticipate the cross.
Sounds pure basic as *, but when you've been served Idah dwaddling about not making that run, it's refreshing.

Fitness still to improve going by what we've seen and Rodgers has stated. Happy enough to see how he does next few games too.

The goal, albeit a penalty, will give him confidence. But mode so, the reaction from the fans in his celebration and after the match will warm him up for sure.

No doubt he's heard all the * we have all questioned about him, hence the video last week and comments made. But seeing the fans react like that, make him feel so included, that's the sort of moments some players fall in love with a club with.

Patrick thistle next, I'd start him for sure and see if he can get another goal and get his Celtic career flying.

Type of start that can make a career at this club, huge boost for him and for us that he scores the winner straight away.

And I’m delighted for Kels (Kelechi Iheanacho) because he’s a player who really feeds off confidence and love of coaches and supporters, and that goal will be very important for him.”

The Nigerian internationalist joined Celtic at the end of the transfer window and came on for the last 20 minutes of the game at Rugby Park for his debut.

And he stepped up to convert the winning penalty with almost the last kick of the game.

“The last penalty I remember him scoring for me was at Wembley when we beat Manchester City in the Community Shield final,” explained Brendan Rodgers, “and he showed great composure to score that day, and he scored again today, so I’m really pleased for him.

'Like I said, he’ll thrive off the support here and the love that they’ll show him when he performs and it’s nice for his confidence.'

Some bottle to take that penalty.
Looked like nobody else fancied it to me.

Instant hero with the Celtic support now.

Early days, but his composure up front could be invaluable.

He’s so cute handing over the MOTM award to Tounekti and saying you deserve it many more to come.

Massive set of bollocks to hit the pen. Undoubtedly worth every penny we spent on him.

    Wasn't just that for me.

He took it with confidence. The finish was polished. He had a reading of the keeper and sent him that way. Looked more like a penalty from a team that was 3-0 already and just seeing the game out.

Calm and collected. Good signals all round.

    This is the key.

Nobody else looked comfortable and I don’t trust anyone else in the team from the spot I’m afraid.

McGregor looks like he would’ve taken it and we all know about how bad he is at penalties.

Good job KI was on the pitch or I wouldn’t be convinced we score.

    Well done that man.

McGregor would likely have missed on recent form.

He looks to have a way to go to get fit still but hopefully that penalty gives him confidence and he works hard to become a genuine player that can contribute from the start or bench for us.

He needs a club like us. Show him love and I bet he'll show it back in goals. Don't actually know why but I love him already. What * only gave him a year option? :56:

A game winning goal on his debut, can't ask for a better start.

Not his fault our window went the way it did, so he deserves our backing and hopefully he does well.

Rodgers comments on him needing love from the fans and coaches is interesting. He won't find more love than Celtic Park if he bangs them in.
