They will do everything they can to stay silent and hope that it all goes away if We get a good win this afternoon but surely they all know that the unrest will not die down until a few of them are removed.

    Absolutely.
If we win our next ten games 6-0 we have to keep the protests going.
This is much more than a few results or even this season - it's the future of our club.

An interesting take that. Martin O'Neill's Uefa Cup final team was worth approximately 60 million euros (based on today's UEFA prize money distributions and exchange rates). Once inflation to 2025 is factored in, you're looking at 100M - 120M euros, as a guide. As for wages, it's rumoured that Larsson was on £38k (perhaps slightly lower) as our highest earner. Factor in inflation again, you're looking at £76k - I think you can see where this is going.

Contrast that to today's current team value of approximately 125M euros, it is very similar. The first team wages, however, will have reduced significantly as our highest earner is on £37k (in today's money).

In 2003 the club was £25 million pounds in debt (in old money), whereas today, it is £100M+ in the green.

It's all very well saying that one team could beat another, but the financial circumstances under which each team is operating is vastly different.

Would be amazing if he can stay at the helm, as Lawwell and Nicholson fall..

Would love him to stay with us longer, his coaching ability has never been in doubt, but with the way he's handling the current situation he's gone up in my estimation as a man.

    Im right behind him.

Larsson joined in 1997. The sums you are quoting are 6 years later. That's a factor too.

This is true, and he worked hard during his time at the club for his high wages. Martin O'Neill joined in 2000, unless I am missing something?

I was really just talking about Larsson, thought O'Neill was a bit earlier than that but probably wrong.

Europa will expose where we're at. I can't see how that squad performs acceptable with the kind of fixtures we have.

    Agreed.

Red Star Belgrade will likely give us an absolute * doing. 5 wins out of 5 domestically. 21 goals scored. 3 conceded.

That's an absolute nightmare first fixture. Even if they did fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Rodgers talking about failing to prepare for the Champions League is one thing. But we've also vastly failed to prepare for the Europa League too.

Fingers crossed any good teams we play are not taking it seriously as us.

Needs to get that sorted. Should have been fired up to prove a point and we play the same pishy way as we left off before the international break.

Still raging at him for sticking to 4-3-3 religiously when is clearly doesn't suit the personnel but good on him for keeping the spirit and mentality of this team at the required level.

Im not happy with the style of football we're playing, but thats us went to Pittodrie, Ibrox and Rugby Park and we're now 9 points clear of the huns.

It's a good start to the season.

Where I agree with the style of football point overall this season, it is always a battle down there on that shocker of a pitch.

They seem to have up’d the ante on signing giants. That boy upfront that was 6’7 actually had a decent touch and was able to bring others into the game well.

I thought Sarrachi and Tounekti were encouraging, Balikwisha worrying but the main one for me is the midfield three just doesn’t work. I thought Hatate was awful today again and apart from the wonder strike at Aberdeen he has been really poor this year.

Aye I do agree with all that, away to Killie is almost always a "get out with any sort of win"

They will but there is no turning back now. This will continue until we get the board clear-out we so badly need.

That is exactly what it is. This is about us progressing and having a positive future as a club on and off the field. The protests continue and escalate until we get the board change we need.

Like wise for me. Brendan Rodgers to stay and the board to go to be replaced by a board with actual ambition and plans to achieve would be the ideal. I include Desmond being out as well as part of the board going.
