Do want to see what Donovan can do, give him a run. We know Tony's level/ceiling.

Don’t think most judge the level/ceiling properly at all but I was raging he started at Ibrox. Came off injured midweek, couldn’t train because of it, played through injury and it was visibly effecting how he could move and pass the ball.

Donovan has showed enough as a stand in, that he’s an option. We had so much experience surrounding the RB, Kaspar behind them, CCV next to him, Calmac nearby, Nygren is an international player who would be infront of him. And he’s clearly confident in himself. It should never happen in they circumstances that we play the injured stand in squad player instead.

And to think there were guys slating him on here after the Rangers game when he came in and done his job when clearly playing through the pain barrier.

    Good chance for Donovan now.

Sad for Ralston obviously but Donovan is better imo and Saracci can cover there so we should be all right.

    Update from Brendan

Tony, he's unavailable and will be in a boot for a little bit longer.

Will be interesting to see if he starts Saracchi on the right now with Ralston and Johnston out or will Donovan get a chance from the start.

People act like Ralston is a new signing or a youth player we are still getting to know, as if it’s too early to judge.

Also people act as if he’s been solely judged on the Rangers game. He’s being judged on over 100 games ffs.

This is his 5th season as a regular squad player. Coming up for 10 years since he made his debut. That’s mental. He never kicked on after that 1st season under Ange.

He’s a decent enough back up right back but that’s it, club trained which is a bonus. If he was playing anywhere else and we were linked with him, people would have a meltdown.

Can’t wait to see what Donovan can do.
