There is a reason all managers now in the 60s/70s have turned *. Legends like Jose Mourinho. And that all the worlds successful managers, with a very few exceptions are quite young. The football is a moving game.

My point is that there is unfortunately no place for guys who are 66-76 years old to sit on a board lording it over the football department. They are used to the game where you smoked cigars pre game. Played with a pair of wooden shoes and a medicine ball.

Why would any manager or player of worth come here to have to deal with this board. The reputation of Celtic has been damaged so badly by this board it'll take years to repair. This repair won't begin until this board is removed, we have paid heavily for their incompetence and I think we'll be paying for some time to come once they are removed. But the start of recovery has to happen one day, the longer this board continues the harder that recovery will be. Hopefully Brendan and the team can bring us success this season but what comes after? That's when we will really witness the price of decades of neglect (and yes, it has been decades in my opinion). It's gong to be a very uncomfortable ride for the foreseeable. This can never be forgiven or forgotten, GET THIS BOARD OUT!

The fact that its now so public on what's happening here means that we are going to struggle to attract a manager of a significant pedigree next season. Rodgers is really the only high profile appointment we've had since MON left.

Strachan was never a popular choice.
    Mowbray was a Championship manager
Lennon was an ex captain with no management experience
Deila was an unkown from Norway
Rodgers had a big rep when he arrived and the fact that he was a Celtic man was the only reason we got it done
    Ange again was an unknown

It will probably be something similar this time around, it will be a Celtic man or someone with an Irish background I think or else a complete punt we've not heard much of before. I think if things go sour for Kieran McKenna at Ipswich this season he will be lined up as the next Celtic manager. Desmond will roll out the private jet and woo him with a considerable contract.

@Mr Shelby I think locking the other thread has killed your poll. There is no option for voting.

It might be worth putting a link to the poll in here and also setting a deadline for people to vote in the opening post there, if you need to send the results to someone by a set time.

No deadline mate its more just being proactive in case the signatories are asked to consent to a no confidence vote following tomorrow or in future. Will just keep everyone posted.

Probably been mentioned somewere but after reading the statement and then watching Ben Doak play for Scotland I did have a wee chuckle about the producing champions league level players part of it we can't even produce SPL level without them getting raided at any sign of promise.

That's another thing to add to many that they need to address what is there plan to try and keep the best talents we produce?

What do you mean what is the plan?

We have a b team currently playing in a in amatuer League against students and part timers

We have took up 1 option of a co-op club instead of the allowed 3, on top of that we have sent 2 players to that club instead of the allowed 3.

We've sold off 2 highly rated left backs for a pittance while signing a left back journeyman on loan.

We have ex players working with the B team, u18s and u15s, that's much more important than experience or actual coaching ability.

And we have a head of youth who's achieved absolutely * all other than managing to hire as many people as he can with links to his former club.

I mean if that doesn't scream world class organisation and the absolute best way to produce champions league players then I don't know what does.

It's great that the boards statement and subsequent backlash has gained UK wide attention and been on major sporting platforms for discussion.
Let's see how they communicate with their next statement which will hopefully be soon.
National embarrassment for them which I dont think DD would be happy about!.. or mibees not.
