We’ve tried in the past but it was always minimal and * give up.

 

Pathetic showing from Seattle. Going to be a long and * season.

 

Ravens time. Huge game this.

 

Dolphins suck *.

Some game that ravens one it seems.

Hoping the Bears pull it off tonight.

 

A surprise road win for the Raiders to start the season. Didn't see that coming. Good debut at QB for Geno Smith.

 

I never expected the Raiders to make adjustments in the second half that would work. Also liked Smith a lot. A QB who can throw and knows how to use his legs.

 

Going to be a long season for the Giants. The scoreline flattered them. They were really bad.

 

American football is a game i always wanted to understand but just find extremely confusing. Even after playing countless hours on xbox i still dont understand the sport lol

 

The game for me was the best way to understand it and learn all the teams/players.

 

The defense held up pretty well overall which was also a surprise for me. It will be interesting to see how Geno Smith pans out over the course of the season but QB play has IMHO been the Raiders biggest issue the past few seasons post Derek Carr. Next week will be a real step up as in fairness this is not the Patriots of old anymore but nonetheless it was still a game the Raiders have lost way more often then not for quite some time so hopefully they can build on that against the Chargers who look like genuinely one of the top teams in the AFC.

 

They did and do look really bad. Think your right about it been a long season for them.

 

I really like our offense. When it comes to our defence, I'm still very sceptical though. It will be put to the test on Monday.

Still, after some years of absolute darkness this already looks like a massive upgrade (coach-wise as well).

 

I totally agree. Coaching wise Pete Carroll is a significant upgrade. No question about that. Team wise I am optimistic about Geno Smith at QB. I think he can and will reach the kind of level that Derek Carr did in his best Raiders years when he was clearly if not an elite NFL QB was definitely a good one. The main offensive worries would be the run game or lack of and keeping Smith on his feet and not been under constant pressure. But overall I agree the defense still has to convince me although the issues at CB will to an extent be hidden by what looks to be a good pass rush.
No question though next week facing the Chargers the Raiders will see one of the genuine AFC title contenders so we will all get a good gauge on how far away from that level the Raiders are.

 

If we can fix our OL, I'll be delighted.
