I wouldn't be starting Daizen at the weekend, his confidence is low and he is our last player back from international duty.

Tounekti has played a lot of football on plastic pitches so I would have him in.

Not sure on Ralston and Tierney but I'd be careful with managing Tierneys load particularly on a plastic pitch.

    I'd go

    Schmeichel

    Ralston
    CCV
    Scales
    Sarrachi

    Hatate
    Bernardo
    McGregor

    Balikwisha
    Yamada
    Tounekti

I think we need to change it a bit, especially in midfield, because the present permutation there is just not
    working.

    Sinisalo
    Donovan CCV Scales Sarrachi
    Engels Bernardo
    Hatate
    Balikwisha Yamada Tounekti

Not saying he shouldn’t but I do doubt that Yamada will start after being left out the Euro squad. To me that signals you are way down the pecking order for consideration.

I think he will play Daizen through the middle Balikwisha will start and not sure who he will play on the other wing. Tounekti I think should play as he will be back tomorrow so gives him a few days with the team before the game on Sunday.

McGregor will also play and it’s really at fullback will Ralston and KT be available or is it Donovan and Sarrachi?

Sadly our options are pretty thin so baring the new wingers I don’t expect much change.

Can see Yamada's opportunities being bizarrely limited now.

Last thing Rodgers will want is him coming into form and having to field questions about why he isn't available for Europe. Would be a black mark on the manager and we know he doesn't like a bruised ego.

He has appeared in our last 4 domestic appearances. He came off the bench at Aberdeen and Falkirk then started at Livi and off the bench v Rangers. Since then we have lost Idah and brought in a striker who is clearly lacking in match fitness, our other two striking options are away on international duty and won't be back until tomorrow or Thursday most likely in Daizen's case.

I'd say there's a good chance we see him featuring at the weekend and mainly starting. If Rodgers was so stubborn on Yamada why would he have featured in 5 of our 7 games to date?

Be a disgrace of a game again.

The attack still looks shocking whoever we play, Balikwisha whos never a wide player if you play Maeda wide you risk getting zero service or anything down that side, Tounetki probably barely even met anyone yet since he's been on international duty. Iheanacho who we've not got a clue how fit he is. Yamada who we don't know if he'll need a ticket to get into the game or whats happening with.

If he rated Yamada why isn’t he in the Euro squad?

Featuring in 5 of our last 7 games means nothing. Especially when it’s as a sub and he’s had less than half an hour in 4 of them.

From here on I think his chances will be limited because Rodgers would be creating a rod for his own back

Absolute Shambles. Any win will do and I think it will be like that every game we play now

I'm not saying he rates him. I am saying he has given him chances and I think he will continue to do so. It all depends on what Yamada does with them.

He said Inamura wasn't up to it defensively yet threw him into the team v Livi. That doesn't strike me as a manager out to spike players caeers.

Right now Kenny and Yamada are fighting out for their place in the pecking order. Kenny has experience of European football. He bagged 7 goals for Shamrock Rovers in Europe last season - maybe that's what prompeted that call from Rodgers. Yamada has appeared in 5 of our last 6 games, he has gotten off the bench ahead of Kenny in 3 of those games and started ahead of him in the other one. The only game Kenny got in ahead of him was the season opener against St Mirren and the cup game v Falkirk.

Both Kenny and Yamada will get chances between now and January. I'm sure of it.

Possibly but we could already be without AJ, Ralston and Tierney in that backline. I don't think we can afford to make many more changes in a game like this. If we drop points at Killie we are under severe pressure, it's a difficult place to go to as we all know. We came unstucky around this time 2 years ago at the same venue in the League Cup.

I think the captain should organise a whole squad bonding session to say that we can still win this league despite those * on the board. He nees to emphasise that we need everyone to be pulling together to sort this mess out, and thatbthere's absolutely no place in the team for those who don't want to play for their teammates

Hate when we play on these dreadful plastic pitches. Regardless of the result the quality of football is invariably poor.
