He used to live there, who knows if he still has property or business down there, was a very quick move nobody was prepared for until a day or so before it happened.

He’ll have stuff to organise now he’s back in the UK. He won’t be there without our knowledge.

And I’d hope he won’t be there for anything more than an overnight, us getting the international break used as a chance to jump start getting him match ready

Big period for him in his career.

I don't think either us nor Iheanacho views his long-term future here. This very much looks like a short-term thing for both. Celtic were desperate and needed a striker to carry the burden this season alongside Shin Yamada. Iheanacho barely appeared to be wanted anywhere else and his stock has dropped massively over the last couple of years. Wasn't that long ago though that we would've struggled to have a player of his profile here.

Don't know how long it'll take him to be fit and firing. But playing at the likes of Rugby Park and Almondvale will be a more humbling experience for him than having to come to a club he rejected last season.

I don't back the board whatsoever. But I can see this weirdly working out for both ourselves and Iheanacho.

And let's no kid ourselves - fire a couple past Jack Butland in the next derby and he'll have earned cult hero status

Looking sharp to be fair to him. All you can ask is he's putting in the work..

First touch and link up play is things that are gonna benefit us. Hopefully the goals flow but it's deffo his touch and kink up play that are intriguing as we don't have enough players who can take a good first touch and make a killer pass. Surely someone like him dropping deep and sticking the likes of Maeda away is a given?

    Trying to be positive..

I’m not 100% sure on that or not. He had opportunities to push for a move when he was at Leicester when his stock was high, and he still had the boost in reputation as promising young player for City. He did push for a move at City, not enough game time, that was dwindling more and he knew he needed games.

He stayed at Leicester 7 seasons, had serious interest from teams like Villa when they were on the ascendancy and Leicester the opposite. He could have jumped ship, probably would have been better to in hindsight.

I’m split on it, it’s entirely possible for it to click here, and he’s happy here and wants the long term. Could be prove yourself, catch the eye of teams in bigger leagues again and get back to that level.

    Aye mate this.

Can protest at the board and refuse to buy merchandise or go to games etc etc.....but when it comes to the manager and the players you have to back them.

We go to Killie next weekend and nobody more than me wants to see a brilliant 5-0 win with the support getting right behind the manager.

Would love to see the team knuckle down and get some momentum this month.

I mean if the player scores 25-30 goals and shines here then aye, there will be a clamour from the fans to see him stay. But I think it's very much viewed as a deal to get us to the end of this season and essentially onto the next manager.

He also has shown in the past that the thinks of himself as above coming to Scotland and has likely been humbled enough at his last few clubs now that he sees it as the right step. But would be surprised if he's making this move with a view to staying here for several years. I think the player will want to just put himself in the shop window with a renaissance here.
