He was never staying beyond this season. It was so clear in his press conferences at the end of last season when he was saying “i will definitely be here next season”. It just screamed that he wouldn't be beyond that. Its probably the reason hes not been backed.

Article smacks of a board that wants to redirect the fans' growing hatred of them, towards the manager. Make the manager's job even more difficult in his final year, then whenever he leaves, we'll save the day.

For me the relationship between Lawwell and Rodgers is one of the main issues, lots of bad blood from the 1st time.

Rodgers never speaks about Lawwell, it always Nicholson or Desmond he name checks.

Rodgers will do the season and escape.

That article is a shocker being honest it probably makes Rodgers position almost untenable as how do you work with clowns who constantly do things like that? It reeks of Lawwell’s influence whether it was him or his lackies Nicholson and McKay.

So many lies and spin in one article, “engineering his exit” he has a 3 year deal he has repeatedly said he will see this year out then who knows.

“Only manager to question it, “every manager back to O’Neill has questioned this strategy.

“He understood how the club worked,” that first window he went along with was a disgrace and very nearly saw us lose the league to a * poor Rangers.

“Spent Millions”, half of those players signed, if not more, the manager had no interest in as they were well below the necessary level. Since Rodgers returned we have a net spend of - £52m.

-£52m and that’s leaving money on the table for Maeda, Yang and Trusty last window because we couldn’t source replacements in a timely manner.

I realise that most of the sales for profit were players that were here under Ange but still they haven’t been adequately replaced and baring one summer where he got 4 players be wanted most have been club signings that have flopped.

That also doesn’t include a record revenue year and likely over £20m in profit fuelled by finally having a decent season in Europe.

Rodgers isn’t blameless in the football on the park being poor this season, as he should be more flexible tactically and has history of things going stale but this mess has been materialising for longer than Rodgers was here and has repeated itself now at least 5 times. So, how was it Rodgers fault the other 3 he wasn’t even here?

Kennedy needs to go after Rodgers. And Strachan. A clear out is needed.

Good luck to the Board if they think supporters will buy season tickets with Kennedy as manager.

If they do go down that road it will show how out of touch they really are with reality and will fuel the anger even more.

It's not the 1st time it's been done either.

There was a story leaked to the * lickers at CQN in July about Rodgers dithering on picking what players to go for.

All childish * for that which we seen the last time he was here too. Rodgers and Lawwells egos are far too big too co exist.

I think Kennedy and Strachan will leave alongside Rodgers at the end of the season tbh.

The board would love to give Kennedy the role but I think they know they won't be able to get away with it this time, and I would be shocked if Kennedy wants to stay on as assistant, so I think he'll go elsewhere, likely in Scotland for a year.

Who we get next year will be impossible to ascertain currently, we could be looking for a new manager after winning a treble, or we could be in a similar state to the 2020 season.

That ‘article’ hardly has anything groundbreaking. I could make it up myself.

Presumably these ‘sources’ get a payday from the Sun etc? Great wee gig to drop ambiguous comments without lifting a veil

    Where do I sign up!

The fact this was leaked to the S*n makes it even worse! What a * hole rag that is!

    * embarrassing the way they are trying to handle this situation and using Rodgers as a scapegoat, called this a few weeks ago they would hang him out to dry.

The fact the are silent and now trying to leak things to embarrassing rags like the S*n makes it even worse.

There is * all wrong with what Rodgers and Cal Mac has come out with asking for players etc.

This now just shows the disregard towards not only the manager and the team but the whole of the support.

Remember football without fans is nothing, they are not bigger than this club and are in a privileged position and they have overstayed it now and it’s not about doing what’s best for the team it’s about doing what’s best for pay outs and dividends.

    Get the board out now.

I don’t think he would have went if he got the players that he wanted and needed, I don’t.

I think he was actively looking to leave after being treated like * in the windows and can you honestly blame him?

The board done a * you to him and he done it back.

Once sources from within the club start leaking hostile stories about you to the media, you know your number is up with the power brokers who are the bean counters.

The worse situation we could find ourselves in, and it looks very likely we have now, is a manager and Board trying to score brownie points on each other all season, and half assed attempts to stop the rot and try and win honours at the same time.

It's not going to work, something has to give, or we could be looking again at another Rodger's last stand at Leicester or Neil Lennons Covid disaster year.

They will want him to walk by himself. That way they can make out it was all about him and avoid a pay off. I have a feeling this is all a BR strategy now to take them down with him as he knows that he will never lack a job. They have got away with this boom and bust strategy for decades always handing the initiative to the huns when we are in a position of strength. Trying to keep them and us as part of the fabled "OF" to make money off the fans. You can't hide in current times with social media. The fans are a lot more clued up and far more discerning. All these pod casts hosted by very clever individuals who take the time to explain exactly what is likely to be going on behind the scenes. The club clearly has no ambition and we have seen this movie time and again. We have told the footballing world that we're happy to just * around in our own little pond and CL qualification is just a bonus for the money men. I detest these people who run our club. Maybe what's happening now is actually a good thing and perhaps BR is doing us a favour by allowing himself to be used as a tool to shed light on the darkness. Let none of them escape the scrutiny.

Agreed it is pure * dramatic level of PR to try and deflect their incompetence onto a manager, who is trying to improve his 1st team and squad to take the next step.

Surely there is some sense in having a FIXED back room staff, as they will know all the training drills from the previous managers/head coaches and be able to maintain the training in the event of a manger leaving or contract ending.

His interview if we drop points at Killie which I’m pretty sure we will, will be interesting to say the least.
