Clearly they're not. Kairat managed to navigate 3 rounds of Champions League qualifiers. While we couldn't win the only tie we had. They didn't get there by accident. We've regressed massively since last season.

If you watched us dominate two games against them then came to the conclusion they’re a better team than us, then that’s up to you. The reality is different, we underperformed.

I watched us play 2 games of turgid, garbage football and lose to them on penalties. I then watched us repeat that performance at Ibrox. So a case of a poor performance doesn't wash. Its 3 games on the bounce. So the fact they already negotiated 2 qualifiers before that suggests they deserved it. If we'd had 2 qualifiers before playing them we'd have probably been out already.

Think Rodgers plan may be more coherent now he knows what * he’s got to * with for lack of a better phrase.

He’s went into the start of the season not knowing who’s coming in, clearly who’s going out, Dealing solely with media and fan backlash direct at him due to the boards inaction and having his own future up in the air.

If we continue on this downward spiral some criticism has to come his way.

I would hate to think the two Kairat shitshows and the Ibrox No Show were down to the players mentally downing tools.

It does not bode well for the ongoing season.

Changed my vote to both but still think 20-25% Rodgers rest on the board

At this moment in time I am happy to go 100% at teh board.
I am not the biggest Rogers fan and I still cannot forget (the exit), but when you see changes in your team and you make plans, you share those plans (with the baord) and you await the support and action.....that then never comes, then I think at this time Rogers is *, probably not 100% focused on his work, probably having a serious thought on what he does next....that is NOT good for the team (or part-there-of that he currently has)
ADD to that the Captain has been pretty vocal on seeking new additions and alternatives in the squad to encourage greater competition....that again never came, is he looking around him, is he less than 100% focused, if so, then why not the st of the sqaud.
So, n my humble opinion the Board 100% to blame for the last 3 months of trading / not trading and both directley and indirectley influencing what happend on te pitch

.........but, will the board ever be taken to task.....

........and regardless, I want to be 100% behind my team every week, to do any (little) thing I can to get them pack to giving everything that they have when they step on the grass.

Without knowing the inner workings, its hard to come up with % of blame.

    Board%
    Rodgers%
    Recruitment%

Board must take the majorty of the blame. No question of that. I think our wage structure is a big part of the problem. I remember Sutton say on a show, Larsson got 20 grand a week more than everyone else. But nobody was going to ask MON to go on par with him. Knowing MON would say off course, just once you start playing like Larrson. So this notion the board have of a wage cap is rubbish.

Recruitment is the big problem. Weather is finding the players or signing them. I refuse to believe the recruitment team cant find us players to improve the team and squad. If multiable people on this forum can then they can. So its clearly down to the board signing them or Rodgers approving them is the biggest issue.

The assumption of the support i feel is the recruitment team are tasked to go after a player, quite raw but signs of good potential. Players the board will green light but Brendan while happy to let some slip through the net hoping theres also some more proven players signed too. Once thats showing signs its not happening or at a pace Brendan is content with he stops approving club signings. Therefore creates a bottleneck with player churn because players clearly want to leave but cant because we cant replace them.

Brendan leaving might solve some of the problems, but not the main ones!

It wasn’t three games on the bounce as we had a match against Livingston in between all that too. I didn’t say they didn’t deserve it, I said we have a better team that underperformed.

Rodgers is showing a severe lack of tactical nous for me. And it’s only masked if we have players 10x the cost of the opposition.

    Needs to go next summer

Wasn't counting the game against Livingston as it was basically an entirely different team with pretty much every player being rested. And the first half of that game was just as bad. Thats the thing, you have nothing to back up your claim of being a better team, other than the fact we're Celtic. That's your entire argument and it holds no weight currently. Lets see how we get on in the Europa League before claiming superiority over a team playing at a higher level eh?

Mostly the board, but Brendan deserves criticism for the qualifiers. That squad should still have been able to score at least 1 goal in 210 minutes.

The Livi game still counts though so it’s not three games on the trot.

I’ve already explained to you why you’re wrong, we dominated both games against Kairat (despite under performing). Like I said, if you watched both those games and came to the conclusion they’re a better team despite the fact we dominated; then that’s up to you. The reality is different.

The higher scoring, more positive football so far this season has been Falkirk and Livi, and aye 2 at Parkhead against promoted teams but both with a 2nd string from us, showing more intent
