For the board to appoint a total yes man in his place?

Don't think brendan is any different really. He was saying they bled for the club I wouldn't want to wait for a transfusion off they *

Some of our support can't see the wood for the trees. How many times will we have these same conversations under different managers.

Rodgers made it clear to anyone who would listen he wanted players for weeks. He then went on to say when the sack the board chants starts it usually means sack the manager and folk couldn't understand why he said that fast forward 2 weeks from those comments and look at it he was basically forewarning this was a possibility. His comments on bleeding for the club I have no doubt he's had his knuckles rapped for airing his frustrations and been told to walk it back

After the next saga regarding Maeda coming out today, I think house who have been going in 2 footed on him about or CL exit should have a little rethink. To just sit and say “He should be getting more out the squad” is a very simplistic way of looking at it.

It's quite telling of the situation we're in just now that after how we all reacted to Rodgers leaving in his first spell that a fair amount are advocating he walks away again to make a statement!

Perhaps some revision needs to be had regarding his first exit - clearly encountered the EXACT same * he is now.

He left last time because he had an offer from an EPL team, same as Ange did after him, I really don't think there's ever been more or less to it than that, some people tried to spin both leaving into weirdo dramatic narratives about either the board forcing them out or the manager betraying us by leaving, when going from scotland to england is simply a massive step up that most in the game would be daft to turn down.

Yes he left because he had an offer from Leicester.

He was also shoestrung with several transfers. Hence why we ended up with * like Commper, Izaguirre (again) and Shved.

Both Rodgers and Ange left the club for the same reason and Rodgers will again end of this season.
They both aren't stupid though and only left when they had another job lined up.

The offer doesn't come for either of the two of them if they aren't actively out there with their agents drumming up interest and telling clubs they are interested.

They were both interested in moving on because of the issues we have seen time and time again at our club.

Surely we aren't gonna deny there are major issues at our club in how we treat managers and staff and how we operate towards the footballing department of the club?

Need to keep a close eye on BR as well this season. If he's not interested, he needs gone pronto no matter how useless the board is.

    Very important.

Here's what i think about Rodgers and this was my fear 2nd time around and paying attention to his career outwith us.

I don't think he's a good man manger at all. Its the same story at every club he manages - he comes in, sounds like he knows what he's talking about, gets the confidence up and things are rosy. but within a year or two, when difficult situations start to arise, some losses, players not happy about not featuing etc, possibly some broken promises or just not handling situations with integrity and honestly (because really he's actually a wee bullshit artist) he just does not know how to manage these scenarios well and i think that rubs off on the squad who get wise to him.

Remembering his 1st term... Let's not forget we looked shambolic in the weeks leading up to Rodgers walking. Wantaway players in the squad... Confidence shattered with no clear plan on the pitch... we had then to rely on Lennon to come in to try and restore squad confidence and get us over the line that season .

Don't get me wrong, the biggest issue at the club is clearly how we are run at board level and all that entails (that's on another thread) but i genuinely think Rodgers race is run and he should also be replaced.

Can we pin the fact that Maeda wants away after 4 seasons on him, though?

If he's been told he can leave but the board haven't provided a replacement for Rodgers in time, then, I only see one party at fault.

Lennon had the same issue during the Covid season.

Hard to tell in the case of Maeda... although maybe Rodgers was a factor? Kyogo certainly wasn't a happy player under him.

khun was bursting to leave - was he managed properly?

You then think of his fallout 1st time with Boyata and then the way Dembele reacted when Rodgers left, and the scores of ex players who almost mock his ways...

I just fear he is not a very good man manager and lacks integrity. I can't shake it

    Go up against them?

He was defending them for the past 2 weeks

Personally I think Maeda was always going to leave this year. Last season was the best we will see from him.

Kyogo similarly had reached his peak with us and wanted a new challenge last summer. Again he was kept on for whatever reason, probably similar to Maeda.

Dembele again was told he could leave then denied the opportunity IIRC. I don't think decisions like that are solely down to the manager...it really isn't as black and white as that as we are seeing now with everything playing out.

The club is just a shambles. Some players probably don't like Rodgers. He maybe is hard to take to, but some probably didn't take to Ange's style either. O'Riley I think being one. It really just depends.

Its all guesswork from us anyway on the outside looking in.
