Anno all you * rip the * out of me but I told @DonnyCelt and @Foley1888 on 26th may that daizen had told the club he wanted to explore options then on 9th June Brentford and Leeds had submitted offers. The 9th of * june. We are a shambles.

I would say the painter that you all mock had a high success rate what I had PM donny and foley about.

But I have said my piece on the summer its a shambles.

 

Brentford wanted him mate as did Leeds 100% there was German interest but the only 2 written bids came from Leeds and Brentford with Leeds then withdrawing there's in mid august and the Brentford one was on the table right upto deadline day.

 

In Covid year rebuild territory now.

New manager and the guts of a new squad will be needed in the Summer.

If the board arent prepared to use the rainy day fund over the next year we are at real risk of surrendering domestic dominance.

 

Plus we have a guy in yang we * about all summer too.

 

Yet another failing and this time it directly impacts the club's 'model' a player who's value will likely never be higher who couldn't be sold due to a total failure of a chief exec unable to complete deals to get suitable replacements for any of our players

 

I will die on the hill that we still should of beaten Almaty comfortably but I can understand some mitagating factors like this coming into play. We really are a joke. This is unparalleled levels of incopetence.

In hindsight this Summer was when a rebuild needed to happen. Kuhn, Maeda, Yang and Idah all moved on. Probably Hatate and Trusty too.

That would have been a 60M war chest to rebuild the squad with.

 

I know if your not born into Celtic then its hard to not want to 'further' your career as these guys see it but it honestly concerns me how players who are adored and loved by the supporters are choking to get away from the club. A club that over the years brings in trophys,winners medals and last year a cracking champions league run. The majority of these players wont get a sniff at anothers winners medal when the leave us but I feel like its the toxic background from the board that makes players want to gtf, same as any job if your manager/senior management are fuds you want away

 

Another prime example of the shitshow that is currently Celtic FC. The club should have found a solution to sell the player, who clearly has ambitions to be somewhere else now, and that had been evident in Maeda's form, which had dropped off a cliff from the second half of last season. Maeda will be another six months older in January, and his value will have plummeted even more by then, and we potentially have a disgruntled and unsettled player on our hands now.

Not Good.

No players want to move on for more money and test themselves in better leagues. There's only so many times you can play Livingston etc without getting bored. We are a club that should be refreshing the squad every few seasons. Teams like Bodo Bruge etc lose players every year and replace them well

 

I think that dressing room must be toxic.

Probably explains McGregor coming out looking for more players.

Id say theres a number of guys in the squad now looking to move on and starting to check out. a manger too for that matter.

 

Trusty didnt move due to this foot injury he wouldnt pass the medical, he had a move to Middlesbrough lined up.
