He's a shocking pundit, lost count the number of times he fluffs his lines by choking on his words or will repeat the same sentence twice in a slightly different way one after the other to give himself extra time to think

The way she had to save him at one point was a beamer

Also completely contradicted himself on his stance towards zonal marking, said he was all for it and then the next thing he's saying is that the Aberdeen player should have left his zone to get closer to CCV, then said first half was a 50/50 game despite Aberdeen having zero threatening chances

Really is mystifying that he keeps getting so many pundit opportunities, guys like Sutton and Stewart are light years ahead in the pundit game

He had some great moments in a Celtic shirt but the way himself, Stokes and Commons were conducting themselves throughout Ronnys time by under mining the guy does leave a sour taste, was delighted when Brendan took over the first time and showed Mulgrew, Stokes, Commons the door, don't doubt for a second that Brendan had a conversation with Ronny and that he told him all about the attitude of those three who were supposed to be behave like senior players

The faces when he said he loved Scales in a voice and posture like Romeo declaring his love for Juliet are hilarious! :56:

Brendan's like :97:; Considine's all ; the Journalist's half  and half :giggle1:; and Stewart is just sniggering away to himself in the corner. That's the funniest thing I've seen all autumn.

Not surprised to be honest. Results since he took over have been horrific.

You hear him talk on Open Goal, and just like Si Ferry, Halliday, a few others that pop in and out… they talk a good game but they think they are a lot smarter than they are.

I like him and he could go on to have a good career.

Not a manager and never has it in him to be a manager. He doesn't have the discipline and mentality for that kind of gig

Has he got a job with Celtic yet

Charlie Mulgrew has offered a defence of the Celtic board as they get it in the neck over transfers.

The club had a difficult end to the window and overall the summer is being rated as a failure despite nine players coming in the door. Winger Sebastian Tounekti was the only deadline day signing despite Rodgers wanting two wide men and two strikers, although Kelechi Iheanacho has since been brought in on a free.

Four of the new men - Shin Yamada, Hayato Inamura, Callum Osmand and Jahmai Simpson-Pusey - have been left out of the Europa League squad.

Supporters have often criticised the board for previous windows but there is a feeling this one may have been the worst yet, a sentiment pushed by former striker Chris Sutton.

However, another ex-player is now playing devil's advocate and suggesting club chiefs should not be targeted because of how successful they have been in running the club. Celtic are in rude financial health with the player trading model one important reason for that.

Mulgrew told The Go Radio Football Show: “No, I don’t think we can criticise the same group of people that have run such a great business model for years now, for however long, 25 years or however longer.

They’re bringing players in for a certain price and selling them on and that’s why the club is in such a stable position.

“Now listen, I understand being a Celtic fan myself, I want to see signings come in the door. I’d love, let me just say, the first day of August, you see five, tens, and fifteen millions just getting thrown at teams.

“But the reality is, it’s not the way the game works. Obviously, Celtic are hard negotiators, maybe harder than other teams. And that’s why they’re getting a bit of stick.

“But listen, that’s the way they negotiate. It’s the way they’ve always done it. We can sit and moan about it, but it’s just the way Celtic operate.

    Just words.

It's not about spending 5s 10s or 20s millions wise. Kinda just shows how out of touch folk are.

Maybe after a job or something.

It’s not a case of throwing 10, 15m out on players * nilly, we aren’t in a market where we can do that. Even though for the right player there’s no reason we couldn’t.

It’s more the fact every single transfer window, year upon year we sell players and continually fail to replace them, and when we do 9/10 we’ve left it so late in the day and probably * off other clubs with the relentless low balling that they no longer wish to deal with us.

Charlie can go take a flying * to himself. Disappointed but not surprised considering he still wants a future in the game. Can't be upsetting PL and DD.

Thing is, it * isn’t. It’s a very exaggerated version of how we’ve always done it. And it’s only Jan 09 that’s comparable, and the most pertinent example the summer and jan window that seen Rodgers jump ship.

It’s generally similar but absolutely took to the Nth degree. For years we’ve went for net spend zero or profit upto about £10m or so for recruitment.

Take the reported sell on fees out of it, incase it’s not as simple as percentages of reported fees, which isn’t the way we’ve seen historically but I’m being as lenient as possible to highlight it.

We spent around £2.5m-£3.5m.* I’ll be generous to the board and say £2m sign on for Tierney even. So £5.5m at a push and that’s stretching it there.

We brought in between £25m to £28m in sales, no Frimpong, Doak etc sell ons.

    * we made £5m from being in the playoff alone.

That’s very different to how we usually do it, and how we usually do needed better.

This feels like seeing what they could get away with.

That was going into the last weekend of the window. We spent a reported £10m the two wingers. Still pushing it for ‘how we do it’
