Where's our Belgium midfielder, you know, the one the cost the club £11 million and hasn't kicked his * yet? . Seriously, not getting selected by his country, even for friendlies, just shows how bad a signing he was

You don't need him to not get picked by Belgium to tell you that.

It's been evident for a very long time.

Didn’t see Kenny got called up, good for him. Ireland must be on their knees if that’s the bar for a striker getting called up.

Got called up after Parrot pulled out.

I mean Idah was in the original squad so that tells you how good their strikers options are if a traffic cone can get a game

Ferguson and Parrott are both very good to be fair though. Idah as a third choice, is better than anything Scotland have upfront for example

Comparing strikers to Scottish ones is a very low bar.

Adams although he’s better than him, our best option is Dykes. Adam’s isn’t all that good despite being a better player, and Dykes is the option because our actual goal threats can push up because the one thing he can do, be a target and the ball bounce off him. It’s why our scorers are midfielders, was McGinn at first until he was recognised as the only threat then McCtominay afterwards.

It’s not a coincidence rhe results took a dive when he was out.

That and for maybe 18 months we were down to possibly 4th choice defence.

Googled Evan Ferguson there though. Mad he’s still only 20. If Italy sorts his injuries out, based on no evidence to back it up except it feels like something the Italians would be good at, I think they will.

At least for a hatty against us
