In a rare and wide-ranging interview back in 2022, Desmond made it clear that the man in the dugout had the final say to green light or veto deals.

As you say, a clear lie. I can't believe he actually okayed the Asian lads, and then avoids using them (bar Yang). Also, he didn't want to lose Idah without assurances of a replacement coming in. Rodgers himself should refute this article.

 

If its true, then surely DD has to say this as if its him then, as a non executive director, he can't make those kinds of decisions . Someone far more knowledgeable than me stated he would be breaking the law if he was indeed making those decisions .
