I've heard a lot about him being slow. But I've read quotes from Guardiola, Rodgers and Schmeichel saying he's fast.

He doesn't look that fast though so who knows. Maybe they mean sharp

Let's hope we can get the ball to him in the box so he can have pop at goal as we have failed to do that in every big game for a while now. Passing the ball forward would be a start.

No, just his actually size and how mobile he looks. He will take a good few weeks to get anywhere close to being able to have an impact in my opinion. It’s just a riot.

With 15 goals in his last 101 appearances spanning over 5 season, I don’t think it will matter much.

Anyone know what his assist stats are like?

I'm no happy about this one still but watching his videos, he'll deffo be able to link the play better. His first touch back to goal wont be bouncing off as much and at least bring others in to play..

He will be no worse than what we had on show this season - I hope the boy comes in and does well -
We spent 30 million on 4 players last year. It didn't improve us. One of them has been moved on already - the other 3 deemed not good enough by Rodgers who doesn't start them. Spending money doesn't guarantee success.

Last year we were successful though. We also had our best European campaign in a very long time.

Got to say for all the negativity (mine included), this is the kind of reel that would have us drooling for any other striker. Promising that a fair number of the clips are more recent too.

He obviously has class - link up, first touch, how he uses his body, finishing. It's whether he's in shape or can be arsed, I fear.

    The negativity isn't surprising though.

I get that we now need to back him and hope for the best. But * me. The fact he's needed to be signed is mental.

I'm not even gonna try and clutch at straws. If he's great? Fantastic. If he isn't? No loss.

Bigger picture is we shouldn't be in a position needing him to be our no1.

Not at all, it's completely justified. Just trying to find a bit of optimism amongst it all.

Let's be honest mate we evidently didn't have any interest in signing him 2 months ago.

Two times he's been linked in 9 months.

Both times on the final day of the window as we scramble around Rodgers contact list trying to get a striker in because the club have * up. I'm still raging.

I get that people are trying to spin the positives but this signing for me is embarrassing. It's nothing to do with the guy himself, it's the shambles that's led to this even needing to happen.

How good for morale is this as well. The players already here must be wondering what the * is going on. No wonder we look flat.

If i am honest we hit the jackpot with the draw we got. Not saying it wasn't a great achievement, but would of been very disappointed not coming top 24 with the set of fixtures we got

Clearly a case on rodgers stepping in himself at the 11th hour because nicholson couldnt secure anyone himself i feel.

Realistically, if any manager is going to get the best out of him, it'll be Rodgers.

Trust me I'm with you all the way, it's a joke. Just tryna console myself with something..

There's no way he was on our radar, although to be fair he did reject us 6/7 months ago..

We wanted way better and so did Rodgers. They've proper * it..

Aye you've got guys like Kenny getting rejected moves and now will be what, 4th choice striker. We've brought Osmand up and sold him on the pathway, Rodgers said we'll decide what to do with him and we've done nothing. No loan and now gonna be 5th choice striker or playing at a far weaker level than he was at in PL2..

How long is it gonna take for him to be up to full speed as well. Looked ok in that Schalke game and done a whole pre season...but doesn't exactly scream someone who looks after his self that well..

We're in some nick. That Dolberg one will haunt us for ages, we won't get near that level or ready made, guaranteed quality and goals for a long time..

Is there any recent pictures? He looks in not bad condition in that pre-season fixture. He'll definitely need time to get up to speed, but where are you getting his size from mate?

Haha a bit of a stretch that I said they would win 9 in a row. I just mean there's now a stronger chance that they will win the league. If they in the league they'll stand a decent chance of getting the champions league money, with a proper board in they could further strengthen and be difficult to beat.

Btw, I dont think that will happen. I think Russell Martin will limp along, end up getting sacked before Christmas, by then the league will be gone and their new boss will have too much work to do to claw it back, as * as we are.

Our board are effectively playing chicken with this league campaign though.

Photos from Middlesbrough I’d say he looks like he is carrying extra timber. The video of him made him look extremely unfit. Got disaster written all over it. Which won’t be a surprise considering we’re shopping in the free transfer bargain bucket a day after the transfer window closed.
