Defo won't have that chance. No doubt spend another 9m on a dud from England though.

It'll be the same story again in January. They've had plenty chances.

    Yep.

These players fall into your lap due to certain circumstances, once every few years. Your Scott Sinclairs etc.

We could of had him in Glasgow before Ajax even picked up the phone.

  3. hindsight is 20 20 the alarm bells should have been sounding when we signed osmand ,then shin and refused to let kenny go . dolberg was quite clearly made up nonsense to smooth the way for idah's exit these things are worked out weeks in advance

  5. We seriously couldn't even get a free agent striker before the Europa League deadline.

We're an absolute embarrassment of a club!!!

  6. Would be all over Paco Alcacer

Can we still register players to the Europa via wildcards/swapping players out, or is our current squad 100% locked in.

2 loans with no option and a 1 year deal for a free agent as well as almost certainly needing a new manager... Summer 2026 I canny wait

  10. Just waiting on Wes Morgan being announced. Or Albrighton since we need a winger.
    Any other old Leicester players?

  11. We better still be tracking 2 strikers for January, in case Iheanacho doesn't work out. No pun intended.

Every now and then I remember that we didn't sell Yang for a profit and failed to sign a right winger, and get a bit of a twitch.

  13. Can't imagine we do anything after Iheanacho now.

    * * it

  14. * embarrassing signing that *.

Just when you think it can’t get any worse or we become even more of a laughing stock, the board go, hold my beer.

I'm now fully convinced we've actively self-sabotaged to make the league more competitive. That's me giving these * in charge a huge benefit of doubt that they aren't simply THAT incompetent they won't answer the phone and sell players with no replacements, unintentionally.

I'm quite conspiracy minded so im wondering if maybe the new yank top brass at Sevco got the Celtic big wigs over for a cup of tea and a chat

It's the only thing that makes logical sense when Aberdeen had a good window, Hibs look strong, Hearts with Bloom's investment and the Huns chucking bucks at it that we have deliberately took our foot off the gas to let them all catch up.

There's no other reason to not spend.

I think it's just incompetence. While they do want a competitive huns, they don't want Hearts and Hibs anywhere near us.

If the Huns are close in December I can see the board sanction a high offer for a player, and likely overpay.

  18. Celts are here are reporting that Celtic took the * with the Dolberg deal initially offering 4 million.

Took 3 more bids to be accepted by that point Ajax came in.

If this is true, and let’s be honest we’ve done it for years and this summer I don’t know how they can still be in a job.

He could have been the best striker we’ve had and the board completely * it.

Wanted them all gone and we’ve ended up with a * free who’s overweight.

    * hate them with a passion

Just when I think of the money in the bank, the money from transfers out, the obvious lack of numbers and quality up top, Jota confirmed out etc. how can we not have had a number of targets identified and brought in before deadline day... There's incompetence and there's sheer neglect. It's actually worse than we've thought it is if * aren't answering the phone to other clubs and agents.
