I think Ziyech is still a class player, and he typically plays either CAM or RW.

Only issue is if he does play RW he isnt that quick, but for a year we could do far worse.

 

if the board had anything about them they would at least try Ziyecb. No idea what he’s on so maybe a complete non starter.

 

Definitely one we should be looking at.

Previous suggestion of Aboubakar makes a lot of sense too. Got 8 goals and 2 assists last season, could do a lot worse than him as a stopgap for a year.

 

Noticed he went to Millwall on a loan to buy..

A player i deffo think could've done well here. They've been starting to get younger players in from Europe who are good..

 

USG released Lazard’s Amani, only 27, Ivory Coast international centre midfielder who can also play wide right.

We should just throw a big signing on bonus at Brownhill as I feel he could make a difference in our midfield. We didn’t spend much and have about a £20m transfer profit.

 

Francois Kamano is another who having earned big Saudi and Russian money is a free agent. He used to be Rapid and a bit of a tank coming in off the left on his right foot mainly. Mind you his numbers recently are pretty poor. He was once compared to Henry coming through at Bordeaux.

Not sure what happened to him but he was a proper pace and power type winger/

I find the Josh Brownhill thing bizarre. We’ve next to no quality depth at CM, we’re raking about for free agents, and there’s this guy who was recently captain of his former team, whom we were linked with a move for in January, sitting on a free - and nothing doing; no rumours of him as far as I can see.

 

100% should be asking Brownhill, Ziyech and Aboubakar to sign on a freebie.

There's no plan here though. That's been clear for a while.

All of those players improve us though. Ziyech walks straight into our starting xi. The other two wouldn't raise any eyebrows if they started against Killie in two weeks time if they joined us.

 

I think the plan now needs to be how do we strengthen enough to get us through this season. Clearly the manager is going given the age profile of the guys we are talking about bar Dennis, it is likely having to pay them a bit of a signing on bonus for a year plus a year option and accepting they are a sunk cost.

That’s the irony. This fannying about by the Board to penny pinch ultimately ends up costing the club tens of millions and hinders any player trading strategy because they don’t have a clue how to run a football operation.

 

Brownhill would waltz in to this side. Should be throwing everything at him and getting rid of some duds in January..

Saw a report on sky sports transfer centre the other day brownhill was debating a 100k a week offer from Saudi. If that’s true absolutely no chance he joins us. He’ll be waiting to see if anyone else offers him a big signing on fee

 

Is it not to late to register them for Europe anyway?

 

Aye I think any transfer now coming in would be registered purely for domestic games no?
