I hope he doesn't sign..

 

I feel this is the culmination of all Nicholson’s hard work. Months of being so infuriating to negotiate with has seen us call Sevilla to discuss Iheanacho and, rather than dealing with us, they’ve chosen to rip up his contract instead.

Genius.

 

Would rather just play Shin and Kenny, at least they work hard.

 

Give the guy a chance imo. All pre judging. Sure he may be 39 and no 28 but rodgers may just get him and they work well together.

Not so much pre-judging, just judging him on his bang average career since he left Man City.

He'll demand higher wages than most of the team and give less effort. That's a sure fire way to decrease morale even further.

Don't want him. If he comes in, you can bet Rodgers will persist with him ahead of Shin.

 

Is it a problem for us that he's had his contract terminated? If we got him on loan, he would have been here for a year and if he was * we just let him go.

Now we might have to give him a deal for a few years to get him in the door.

Remember when he rejected us for Middlesbrough 6 months ago....

 

There is underwhelmed and a panic buy and then there is this a overweight past his best slow striker who rejected us for Middlesbrough well this is * * a joke and got Dion Dublin vibes about it

 

Thing is he'll probably want pretty hefty wages for what he is. Likely at least a 3 year contract..

A guy that's just going through the motions, lazy, slow and can't buy a goal. The complete opposite of what we needed..

Pace and power aye. Barely sticks anything away for a team desperately needing a goalscorer..

I would rather write just give Yamada and Kenny the chance until January, with Maeda starting there too.

Only way I would be happy taking him is if he agrees to a year deal with an option to extend, wouldn't want him on anything higher

 

Is he able to even sign for us?
Isn't the registration of new players now closed?

Like we could pay him a wage and he can work for us, but we surely have missed the registration period - that's what the transfer window is after all - and thus he can't play for us even if he signed?

I've, we signed Maeda etc before the January window opened, but could register til the window opened.
This would just be the same but at the end of the window?

You can register anyone if you have a space.

But if the squad was full and we wanted to swap someone out, we’d be *. That won’t be the case though.

 

Not if he’s a free transfer he can be signed.

 

I personally think we give him a 1 year prove it deal. If he wants more he can do one.

 

He’s talking about registration tbf not actually signing.

 

Apologies if I’m misunderstanding you here, but he’s a free agent, mate. Sevilla did him a turn (and arguably themselves, by the sounds of things) and ripped up his contract before the window closed, so he’s free to sign with, be registered by and ultimately play for a club outside of the transfer window.


Maeda was still a Yokohama player, so it was just a standard transfer deal.
