Expecting this to be an absolutely turgid game of football (again).

We are going to be going into the first half of the season proper with a squad roughly like this at this rate

    GK (happy with this position)
    Casper
    Sinisalo
    Doohan

    RB
    Ralston
    Donovan
AJ back in late due to injury

    CB
    CCV
    Scales
    Murray
    Simpson-Pusey
    Trusty(Maybe)
    Welsh

LB (would be happy when Tierney can last 90 min)
    Tierney
    Saracci
    Innamura (probably away on loan)

    Midfield
    Cal
    Reo
    Nygren
    Engels
    McCowan
    Bernardo

    Wings
    Daizen
    Michel-Ange
    Forrest
    (Jota no back till Jan)

    Striker
    Johnny Kenny
    Shin
    Osmand (probably going on loan)

That is * grim, we have lost about 70 goal contributions from last season, and no replaced them at all.

No sign of anyone in other than Balikwisha and Saracchi (who has barely played in months) before the game Sunday. Idah and Yang potentially our the door.

It's just a complete mess. Get ready for us to loan a few more diddies....don't see us getting the other winger over the line. We don't even have a fee agreed with 4 days left now, 2 of them being the weekend so it's loan signings from here on in.

It's beyond pathetic how incompetent we are at senior management level.

Oh I agree, I meant up until now it's been pathetic so why expect it to suddenly improve.

We get everything we deserve tbh.

Don't really care. As the vast majority of us could see this coming.

The big issue now with waiting till this stage is it makes it far easier for expensive mistakes to be made. Ironic considering we have a leadership group full of supposed financial gurus.

E.g. this Tunisian guy is easily a £3m player max. But we may end up paying double that due to how late we have left things.

When we could have gotten Breum for less and Calvin Stengs on a loan.

Even when we do go for players, we seem to be ignoring better options that are staring us in the face?

Window looks like a write off now. Seems the exit to the Khazaks has torpedo's the chance of targeting real quality.

Back to links with the kinds of players that Rodgers love to bomb out of the squad on loan after a few months and we look to offload next Summer.

Id nearly not bother with them rather than just wasting time and effort. Seasons already a two steps back one and with sevco in a total mess we can prob win regardless. Probably no point in loading the squad down with * again that we need to get rid of in 9 months time. If they held their hands up and said we have totally * this up but will cut our losses and put everything into fixing it next Summer then I would see it as a price worth paying.

What's even more bizarre is that we may end up paying £5m for thw Tunisian winger when Breum can go for the same price and has scored and assisted more in a better league and is a year and a half younger.

    Beyond embarrassing.

When ye see it written down in black and white…. Grim indeed. That’s as bare bones a squad as we’ve had in a while

We should focus on retaining our SPL dominance and having a very good and profitable run in the Europa League.

I still think we need four more players.

And I think the Celtic Board will activate Plan B now, selling some of our top players to make up for the loss of the £40M Champions League money.

SPL dominance seems to fall into our lap year after year, just as the board gambles it would. Thus, no serious investment will happen. Europe is just a matter of participation in their point of view.

    That's true.

The gamble didn't pay off, it was a calculated gamble, and one I would have taken too, given the calibre of the opponents tbh, but I think the lions share of the loss lies at Brendan's doorstep.

I'm pretty sure a few of the more informed and experienced posters on this board, could have picked the right team and tactics to overcome lowly Kairat over two legs.

The extent of the damage to Brendan's managerial status and career by this monumental * up, cannot be overestimated imo.

He takes the blame for tactics and man management over the two legs of this fiasco, certainly.

I know we always laugh about these comments, but it is starting to feel like the board are sabotaging and would like to see the Huns provide a title challenge.

Just how fried are these * at our club? We went into the season knowing we needed another winger. We ended up selling Kuhn before finding that new winger, so we then needed 2 wingers. Now we're selling Yang and still don't have a winger through the door. There's 3 days left of the window and we've went from needing 1 winger to needing 3! What the * is this squad management and recruitment? I'm not even joking, genuinely you'd have a better recruitment department at this club by hiring those twitter scout accounts.

My fear now is they bargain buy a few cheap options to fill the squad and we just create a problem for ourselves in 9 months time trying to offload and find loan moves for them.

Would rather they acknowledged this is a disaster that wont be fixed in 3 days and focus on fixing things properly so we dont have go through this * again.

When targets like Bruem are now considered too out of reach i dread to think of the calibre of guys they are looking at.

We should take the medicine for whats been a total *. Set our target right now that CL next year is a non negotiable target. And we need to recruit to meet that target.

Not this wait a see crap of buying from different tiers depending on what happens.
