I’m gonna stop saying I’m one of his biggest critics now. Fantastic again. His distribution frustrates me sometimes but he’s so dependable. Brilliant start to the season and deserved the armband

Proud for Liam, leading the mighty Celtic in the SPL, well done Liam, something to look back on with immense pride.

Proud day for him no doubt and another very good performance. As you say he really has made a very good start to the new season.

His main weakness in my opinion is the way he gets confused and completely misjudges the flight of the ball sometimes. I think his distribution is a bit inconsistent but is generally a strength of his game. His defending so far this season has been outstanding overall. He's definitely a much better player than a lot of people give him credit for.

He misplaces more passes than other defenders we have, but also does more passes that the others don’t and does it faster.

That was what got him as the sub option to come on half time League Cup Final last season and it worked very well.

The frustration with the distribution with him is those more risky ones and more bold passes are generally not the ones he mishits, it’s the easier ones you expect to be a given.

Was delighted for Scales being handed the armband yesterday. Think that’s a great show of backing from Rodgers there. And he deserves it.

Nobody would have blinked an eye if Schmiechal had it. * even Ralston.

Scales is an obvious choice though as well. And an insight for how he is viewed within the squad and management that

I think that's the main thing... He's clearly a gem around the training and players because even though he clearly has some issues, and a ceiling to his talent, there's never a bad word said about him by anyone but the fans... He must train like a Trojan!

I think he's been great business, and we've been repaid a thousand times over for the fee and wages... At the end of the day, that's all he needs to be... Able, honest, hardworking, committed and respectful... Young fella has those in spades!

Often a critic of his but I did give him pass marks last night. He has started this season well.

I'll never be convinced of him as a starting CB for Celtic but he seems to have went up a level.

No question he has had a strong start to the season.

Been a huge critic in the past but he’s been our best player this season which may say more about the quality of players but fair play.

If he could move it a bit sharper and concentrate to a higher level i’d not have any issues with him.

Everytime he’s written off he comes back better, great strength of character and definitely deserves his spot for the moment.

Aye I think he's been our best defender so far this season. In truth the defence are the only ones doing their job so far

You could honestly argue he's been our best player in General to be fair, only Nygren comes close.

We have conceded 0 goals so far this season with Scales at centre back. Yet he still is at the forefront of criticism for many fans. Scales is nowhere near the start of our problems.
