    Like others have said, no issue at all with these cheap punts. Some will work out, others won’t and that’s fine. Tilio wasn’t even a disaster considering we got £1.3 million back for him. That’s decent business.

    The issue is when your transfer strategy falls too heavily on the side of these punts on potential and they aren’t being supplemented by signings of genuine quality. Yang was a punt who in the long run may or may not work out, but he’s currently being asked to play a bigger role than is justified because we’ve no other *.

    I have an issue with the number of them. They end up just taking up loan spots to shift rather than allowing us to bring in a cheap punt to send on loan to develop.
