Looks like quite the spot to have lived for a while. Looking forward to visiting for sure.

If you mean Route 66 in the US well it technically starts in Chicago before heading west and ending in California. There is not much to see other then some signs that your on the old route in the Chicago area though. The midwest is mostly flat and boring to drive through so you would need to be further west before it would get interesting IMHO.

Good documentary on it here, might still be interesting enough but doesn't look great to do it the traditional way

Definitely looking forward to the trip. Enjoying a warm christmas in the Caribbean sure beats the freezing cold in Chicago for me. We are flying into Anguilla and will be based there but planning on some days trips over to St Martin.

    I'd highly recommend Tunisia.

Don't think it feel below 35° during the day the entire time. Sights like the coliseum in El-Djem are very impressive. Out hotel was on that beach that got attacked years ago but the place felt very safe. No armed guards on the beach or at the hotels but at most roundabouts the police milled about armed with machine guns looking bored :56:

Most people happy to see Celtic tops as well out there. Couldn't name a player between them, just think they see it a pro-Palestine symbol.

Just booked florida for next april and hotel, flights and park tickets came to around 10.5k so expecting 15k all in for the 2 weeks. Cant wait but dont really want to make a habit of it!

If it is still safe enough to travel around, we took a bus trip from north to south, stayed the night at the sahara and then back again. It was brilliant. Camel rides and sunset/sunrise in the desert, walked through an oasis, went to tataouine when the star wars set is. People were lovely.

Jesus. That's a lot more expensive than I remember it as recently as a couple of years ago.

How many of you guys are going? It was just me and the wife last time. And did you book a pretty good hotel??

Jealous of you mate. Cracking cracking holiday that.

That's fantastic mate good for you. Explains that price too. So envious I honestly can't wait to go back.

I'm Turkey in early November for a wee resort week and then hopefully start saving for the next big adventure. Maybe Tokyo but it'll take a good couple or few years.

Love Brussels. One of the most under rated cities to visit I think in Europe. Plus the chocolate is outstanding too.

I can only speak to my own experience and I loved visiting Brussels. Hopefully you have a similar great time as I had there.
