    This.

When I think of Maeda I don't think of expert technique. I don't think of him collecting a pass, running at a defence and curling home a fine finish.

I think of relentless running that causes extreme panic in the opposition defence. His goal at Ibrox that just bounces off of him is kind of symbolic of what he's all about. It's like uncontrolled chaos that happens because of his ridiculous engine.

For Maeda to be effective as a goalscorer, he actually needs a lot of things to happen through sheer panic because he doesn't have the technique with the ball to create proper quality himself. Once in a blue moon does that happen.

If we had the options to step in and had been proactive in the window I'd be biting yer hand off for anything close to £25m. As I firmly believe his form from last season was an anomaly.

I've never truly believed him to be a £25m player. There's still glaring weaknesses in his game.

We will use * all of whatever fee we managed to receive for him. £10mil-200mil, we’d spend £2mil on his replacement.

hopefully this last few games he’s played himself out of a move and will be here when the window closes.

would be disastrous to sell him at this point and have no winger at all on that left side

Disagree. I think he's a brilliant player when we have creative players around him, he will score and assist bucketloads. He's not a creative player, he's a workhorse, he's a speed demon, his movement is superb but the problem is because we have nothing in attack we are looking for him to things he's not good at. That's a failing on our board as our manager has been very vocal on what we needed and where we needed it.

You still sell your players when they've performed the best. The club still need to sell players and play the transfer model. I don't think anyone is against the idea of signing players and selling them on after 2/3 seasons once they've performed very well. The problem is we don't replace them first.

If we had a functioning footballing structure, we would trust the club to replace our best players and at the same time, you encourage more players to make the move here for a couple of seasons because we don't hold players back from moving on once they've had a great season.

He's technically quite poor. He's the best in the world for me when it comes to his defensive ability whilst being an attacker. You'd be hard pushed finding a better player who gives you what he does in terms of his running ability, his pressing and the sheer number of runs he does make but if there was an offer of near £20m for a player who struggles technically, we would be stupid to turn it down. The likes of Feyenoord, Club Bruges and Salzburg would have had him sold already. The reality is they have extremely well drilled footballing departments who already know who they're signing before their players leave.

Love him but doesn't fully fill me with confidence if we're plannning on moving him fully to striker. Should be burying that chance at the end last night. Not the first time either was through on goal at ibrox at the end of the game and the end of the cup final against Aberdeen too.

He's not great at one on ones. There was another one he missed against Leipzig when Kühn played that wonderful through ball.

This is true. I also think he knows from our front line, we as fans rest all our hopes on his shoulders. And that doesn’t help him, we need others to be up there and him striving to outperform them and show he should be viewed as the best out of them.

I think that’s the case anyway. Everytime he’s been the 3rd out of 3 up there, he’s very quickly showed it’s not the case. Last season when Jota came in it was where do we find a place for him, shoehorn up front he’s not a Kyogo replacement and he won’t be better than Jota on the left. And he rammed that opinion down everyones throats almost immediately. And not the first time just the highest level and best time. When it’s him or nobody though? Think he overthinks it and you’re right one on ones has never been his strength.

Daizen has just, we've probably had to use him more than we would have liked, but he's okay. Just a bit stiff and crampy, but yeah, apart from that injury-wise, it's probably the same squad."

With Daizen, you mentioned you may have to use him a bit more often than you would have liked at this stage of the season

I would never put the player at risk ever. The player's centric to all of this here, and if he's not ready to play tomorrow or he's feeling anything, there's any sort of doubt, we wouldn't start him.

"I think it's one, I think if you look back to last year and we had a really, really consistent year last year, especially in the first six months. All of that was based around the ability to be able to refresh the team and take players on and off, and that kept the energy, kept the tempo, everything in the team, and the football's great and when you can't do that, there's an effect that it has.

"And for the likes of Daizen, he's had to, like I said, he's had to play a little bit more than we would have liked. But he's still in good condition, good place, but we won't take any risk with him tomorrow if he's still feeling it."
