Listening to Pint and Two Shots and agree with Toal, wouldn’t hold anything against Rodgers at all if he just walked away.

If you’re not being supported or being allowed to do your job to the best of your ability what’s the point? It’s not like BR needs to stay here and couldn’t basically walk into another job.

This joke of a regime are selling everycunt short.

Probably because they have the ST dosh. Millions for Kuhn. Dosh from Frimpong sale. Hoping the noise the fans make will quieten if we qualify for the CL and make a few signings. If it goes * up they'll get a couple of loans and mediocre signings and ride out the storm hoping we'll win the league all the while keeping an eye on the ST waiting list

That is it in a nutshell.

Last game fans paid around 2.4m on top of the 30m or so theyve just stumped up for season books. Board wont care if they fly a few banners and chant a chant.

And even if we fail to qualify for champions league, we could still realistically be 7-10 points clear in the league after the derby game. The noise will lessen, we will buy the europa league packages and we will enjoy winning the league. The board wont be stressing.

I don’t think there’s any justification for this * awful transfer window, but the best one is probably that they know Rodgers is 100% leaving, they’ve looked across the city and seen what a sad state the Huns are in, so have taken a calculated gamble (which may have always backfired if we fail to reach the UCL) to keep our powder dry this season with the intention of heavily backing a new manager next year.

The problem is that this is just speculation because, as usual, there is zero communication with the support.

    Next year will be worse.

We will get the "new manager is assessing the players first" line...

My feeling is that BR doesn't take as big an influence in identifying players as for example Ange did. I think he most likely gives a profile of the players he wants maybe a suggestion or two and then the recruitment team go and find the players in the allocated cost bracket. They then go back to BR who gives the green light.
The problem is we are unable or unwilling to find the required quality needed to move the club forward. Regardless of the future of BR we should always be looking to bring the best players possible into the club. A change of manager in the next year shouldn't change that, with the new manager following the model and building on an already strong squad with a record of success. The boards inaction in this summer window as well as the January one is nothing short of a dereliction of duty.

Let's be real, they ain't hoarding £70m+ in order to give it to a new manager.

If they won't back rodgers then they ain't gonna back the next unlucky sod to work under them.

He definitely signed an NDA because he would probably have gotten a large pay off to go and keep quiet. Would have been in the millions to keep him quiet.

That's where I think the club might * up with Rodgers. I know he's not one for media or anything like that but I do think that he may take some time out of the game once he leaves here and he might look to do some media work. Would be really interesting to hear what he has to say about the club once he leaves. Can see him being on an episode of The Overlap or something talking about his career.

yeah, think it will be along time before we get any real insight into what goes on behind closed doors, its probably pretty similar to what we all expect in any case.

anyway , heres an old video of dom, i was genuinely pretty excited by his hiiring , now weve got that useless *.

I think we need to stop calling Brendan the manager.
    He's not, he's the coach.
The differences in the two roles are huge, he coaches what he's given (his words) and that's it.

He may have a limited say on targets or more likely, identifying positions that need strengthening - but that's it.

Ange was as close to a manager as we've had in recent years - only because he had to be in the absence of any sporting structure at the club.
Did pretty * well at it too.
